The Aces kept their winning streak alive on Thursday night when they beat the Minnesota Lynx at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas 97-87. This win marks their 13th straight victory, setting a new franchise record.

During the game, the team celebrated their annual Heroes of the House theme. The night included a “Salute to Those Who Serve,” presented by True Vet, in honoring a hero of the house, and the national anthem was performed by Captain JR Phelps, a member of the U.S. Army. At halftime, the 3rd annual Battle of the Badges took place, with members of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and North Las Vegas Police Department facing off against representatives from the Henderson Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue.

The action-packed game filled “The Big House” with excited fans who are playoff ready!

Aces star A’ja Wilson dominated with 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Jackie Young added 20 points. This win improves the team to 27-14, putting them in a tie for second place in the WNBA standings and further proves the two-time champions are ready to get the party started in the offseason.

Last time the Aces faced the Lynx, they lost by 53 points, so Thursday night’s game was a very different vibe. They became the seventh team in the league to hit 13 wins in a row in a single season.

Next up for the Aces – they’ll play the Chicago Sky in back-to-back games on Sunday, Sept. 7 and Tuesday, Sept. 9, both at T-Mobile Arena. Then they are on the road for their last regular season game against the Los Angeles Sparks.

A’ja Wilson is at it again! The three-time M’VP, and current favorite for a fourth, has been named Western Conference Player of the Month for August. Her league-record 13th honor, breaks Tina Charles’ mark for the most in WNBA history.

August was all Wilson! The Aces matched a 12-game win streak while she dominated with a league-best 25.5 points per game, nearly 12 rebounds a night, and her fourth consecutive 20+ point month. She racked up eight double-doubles, scored 25+ in eight games (six of those for 30+), and secured her third straight Player of the Week honor, the 27th of her career, tying Candace Parker for second all-time.

And that’s not all! Her 34-point game against the Atlanta Dream on August 27 pushed her to No. 2 on the WNBA’s all-time list with 35 career 30+ games. She passed Katie Smith for No. 9 on the league’s all-time free throws made list.

Her 30/10 double-double was the league-leading 25th of her career and league-leading 9th of the season.

She also became the fastest and youngest in WNBA history to record 2,000 made field goals, and at 29 years and 11 days old, she hit the mark in 259 games. Wilson became the 15th player in league history to record at least 5,500 points and 2,000 rebounds, and was once again, the youngest and fastest to reach that milestone.

And these are just a few of the many milestones Wilson hit in the month of August. Periodt!

On Wednesday, the league announced the Aces head coach Becky Hammon was named the Coach of the Month for August 2025. She led the team to a league-best 12-1 record on the month.

According to a press release sent to The Blast, “In addition to the 12-1 record, Hammon has the Aces on a current franchise-tying 12-game winning streak that began August 3.”

This is Hammon’s fourth Coach of the Month award. She also won this honor in May 2022, June 2023, and September 2024, and is now tied with Sandy Brondello and Bill Laimbeer for the most monthly awards in WNBA history since it was launched in 2017.

Aces Star A’ja Wilson’s ‘Dress Like Ya Type’ Video Has Everyone Talking

The Aces are a playful bunch on and off the court. Wilson recently shared a video that grabbed tons of attention on social media.

Captioned, “Entry Fee: Dress like ya type,” the video featured many of the Aces players walking through the door dressed as their “type.” Fans got a kick out of the video and left hilarious comments.

“Bam gonna wake up one morning to see he ain’t got clothes left to wear,” one fan said about Wilson wearing her boyfriend, Bam Adebayo’s clothes in the video.

Another fan wrote, “I love that y’all have no sense!!! All that is missing is Becky!!!” And another added, “The girlies are about to unpack this video for the rest of the year on Twitter and TT.”

Megan Gustafson’s fiancé dropped into the comments to say, “Ok but that’s not even accurate.”

One fan called out the fact that former Aces player Sydney Colson would have loved this trend, saying, “Somewhere Sydney is punching air ‘cause they did this after she’s gone, these shenanigans is right up her alley. Love her lots.”

And many focused on Jackie Young. “Jack Jacks follower count and DMs just blew up 10 fold,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Aces ate. Love them all. Jackie you never have to dance in the hall. You finally told me your type, because I wasn’t sure all this time. Love it.” One other asked, “Can somebody explain to me about Jackie?”
