Today, Reebok and Angel Reese have unveiled a powerful new colorway for her highly anticipated signature sneaker, the “Angel Reese 1.” It’s a slate grey design aptly titled “Giving Grace.”

According to a press release sent to The Blast, the latest colorway has a deeper meaning for Reese.

“Giving Grace is more than just a shoe name—it’s a reflection of who I am and the journey I’ve walked,” said Reese. “This colorway represents the strength to keep moving when the road is uncertain, the courage to rise after setbacks, and the kindness to extend grace to others as well as yourself. These shoes tell my story, and I hope they inspire others to walk in grace, strength and resilience.”

Reese’s “Giving Grace” colorway is currently scheduled for release in November 2025. It will follow the release of her debut colorways, “Diamond Dust,” “Mebounds,” and “Receipts Ready” on September 18.

As previously covered by The Blast, Reese’s signature sneaker draws inspiration from Reebok’s Mobius line and incorporates splashes of the LSU alum’s personal style.

She explained that her shoe, which also features the company’s Energy Return System and TPU stability cup, isn’t just any ordinary device. “… it’s my style, my story, and my stamp on the game,” she said.

Reese, 23, played a crucial role in developing the design of her first sneaker. “Reebok and I built something that’s true to who I am, and I hope it pushed others to stand in their power, too,” she explained. “At the end of the day, it’s built for basketball — made to move and perform at the highest level.”

In October, Reese and Reebok will release a purple and black colorway of the “Angel Reese 1,” titled “Charm City,” a nod to Reese’s hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.

“This one’s for Charm City, to honor my roots and the community of Baltimore that has backed me from day one,” said Reese. “This city gave me my grit and made me who I am today.”

Joining the elite ranks of WNBA players with a signature sneaker is a milestone Reese has described as a “blessing.”

The WNBA sensation also spoke about the hopes she has for her sneaker after its release.

“We’re bringing back that old-school look, the old-school vibes. People are going to be wearing Reebok everywhere, just like how they wear Jordans everywhere. I want people to wear the Angel Reese 1s everywhere and just to be a household name, to have no limits on what I can do and what I can accomplish,” she said.

The timely “Giving Grace” announcement comes just days after the Bayou Barbie sparked chaos with her blunt comments about the Chicago Sky’s dismal 10-33 season.

“I am very vocal about what we need and what I want. I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me,” she said.

She didn’t stop there, though. Reese said she would not be “settling for the same sh-t we did this year.”

“We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me. I’m willing and wanting to play with the best. And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason,” Reese said.

Shortly after her comments went viral, Reese apologized for how her words impacted her teammates.

“I’m probably frustrated with myself right now,” Reese said. “I think the language is taken out of context. I didn’t intentionally mean to put down my teammates because they’ve been through this with me throughout the whole season. They’ve busted their [butts] just like I busted my a-s. They showed up through thick and thin with me when nobody could see anything. I would apologize to my teammates, which I already have, about the article and how it was misconstrued.”

WNBA Exec Urges Reese To Leave Chicago Sky

The Chicago Sky wound up suspending Reese for half a game for comments “detrimental to the team,” sparking outrage from fans online.

A WNBA executive even spoke with a publication about the situation, calling the Sky’s actions “embarrassing” before urging Reese to consider leaving.

“She needs to get the hell out of there,” the source said. “Chicago is probably the worst-run organization in the league. You’re gonna suspend your best player just because she’s putting pressure on you to get better? That was embarrassing to see.”
