Rousing Doc on 1994 U.S. World Cup Soccer Team

Hi reddit! I’m Jan Komasa. I’ve directed CORPUS CHRISTI (Nominee for Best International Feature Film at the 2019 Academy Awards), ANNIVERSARY, WARSAW 44, THE HATER, and SUICIDE ROOM. My new movie, HEEL, stars Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough, and Anson Boon and it’s out now. Ask me anything!

GHOST WAR Goes Full Throttle — GeekTyrant

Actress Kirsten Dunst started her career as a kid in some great classic movies like Little Women, Interview With the Vampire, and Jumanji. Her teen years lead to roles that catered to her age, with great successes like Bring It On, Spider-Man, and Mona Lisa Smile. She has continued to choose interesting roles in a variety of projects, earning her both Oscar and Emmy nominations along the way. But in this time of reboots and late sequels, would she be willing to return to an early role?

During a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Dunst was asked if she would ever consider returning for a sequel to the beloved 2000 teen comedy Bring It On, to which she replied: “No. I’m like, leave good things where they are. I don’t need to put on a cheerleading outfit. I don’t even know what I would do, be a coach or something? Let’s leave it as it is.”

I agree with Dunst! Most movies that get reboots/remakes/sequels these days are just money grabs that really don’t need to be done. Some films end up being great, like the sequels to Top Gun or Twister (Maybe the secret is Glen Powell?), but for the most part, fans want to see original movie ideas get made.

Dunst can next be seen alongside Channing Tatum in the comedic crime drama Roofman, in theatres on October 10th.
