Candiace Dillard Bassett has hinted that The Traitors season 4 reunion is going to be spicy.
“The Housewives are coming into this thing as quintessential reunion soldiers,” the Real Housewives of Potomac alum, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Page Six Virtual Reali-Tea Awards on Wednesday, September 17. “I’ve already got it laid out, who’s going to get popped, who’s going to get it. This one person is going to get it.”
Candiace was unveiled as one of 23 famous faces taking part in Peacock’s reality competition, alongside fellow Real Housewives favorites Dorinda Medley, Lisa Rinna, Caroline Stanbury and Porsha Williams. Host Alan Cumming will also welcome Top Chef host Kristen Kish, Survivor legend Rob Cesternino, “America’s mom” Donna Kelce, Olympian Tara Lipinski and The Bachelorette’s Colton Underwood, among others, to Scotland’s Ardross Castle in the new season.
“The cast is amazing, and I’ve left with lifelong friendships,” Candiace told Us. “I was a fan of the show before, so you think you know the order of things, but no!”
Candiace — who described filming The Traitors as “the best experience of [her] life” — specifically mentioned her dynamic with Top Chef’s Kish, whom she described as “awesome, stunning [and] smart.”
“She is just an enigma in the greatest way … just has an amazing story,” she added. “We talked a lot in the castle while we were there.”
Other Traitors players that Candiace singled out for viewers to keep an eye on include Olympians Lipinski and Johnny Weir.
The Real Housewives icon was especially charmed by “America’s mom” Donna, the mother of NFL stars Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce. Donna will also soon be Taylor Swift’s mother-in-law following the pop star’s engagement to Travis.
“She was the ‘castle mom’ for all of us,” Candiace said. “She owes me some cookies and she owes me some Chiefs tickets … She’s hard to get to! Her Instagram page is not open.”

The RHOP star then joked, “Mama Donna, I’m paging you! I need my cookies and my Chiefs tickets … and maybe a wedding invitation! That would be nice.”
Candiace admitted that there’s “one” Traitors cast mate that she didn’t get along with, before quipping: “I loved everybody else!”
As far as twists and turns, Candiace confirmed a “curveball” was thrown at the Traitors cast shortly after they arrived at the castle.
“My wig almost blew off,” she teased. “It’s an amazing season.”
The Traitors is coming into season 4 with more hype than ever before, following the Peacock show’s win for Outstanding Reality Competition Program at the 2025 Emmy Awards. It won the prestigious prize over perennial contenders The Amazing Race, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Survivor and Top Chef.
“Thank you to our crazy cast and our crew in Scotland,” Cumming said in his acceptance speech on Sunday, September 14. “It’s a difficult time we live in, but it is so great that our show brings a little bit of joy into this life.”
NBC will also capitalize on The Traitors’ viral success by launching an “all-new civilian version,” with Cumming returning as host and filming set to take place in Scotland.
“We’re excited to bring along The Traitors‘ highly addictive fan base as we discover the next generation of legendary gamers and schemers,” Executive Vice President, Unscripted Programming, NBCUniversal Entertainment Sharon Vuong said in a statement on August 14.
Vuong went on, “With our resident host and gameplay master of ceremonies, Alan Cumming, on board to introduce complete strangers to new epic missions and twisted gameplay, this new version for NBC offers a unique opportunity for the cast and audience to meet each other for the first time and we know it will be incredible to watch.”
All previous seasons of The Traitors can be streamed now via Peacock.
