Lionsgate has released a new trailer for the funny-looking comedy Good Fortune, which marks the directorial debut of Aziz Ansari, who also wrote and produced the movie.
Keanu Reeves stars in the film as an angel named Gabriel. He’s a well-meaning but inept angel who meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist, who’s played by Seth Rogen. Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer also star.
Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Joe Drake previously talked about the film sayingt: “We have indeed found good fortune with this film. We love the script and believe strongly in Aziz as both a performer and a director.
“And when you add in Seth and Keanu – two incredible world-class talents — toplining alongside Aziz, this has the potential to be a very special film for us. We moved quickly to land this project once it was available.”
I love that Reeves is jumping into a comedy again. We mostly see him in action films these days, so seeing him take on the role of a budget angel is a lot of fun!
The movie hits theaters on October 17th, 2025.
