Paramore Singer Blasts Morgan Wallen As A ‘Racist’ In New Interview

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time Wallen has been accused of being discriminatory, as other notable figures, including internet personalities and Southern natives, have slammed the 32-year-old for displaying problematic behavior.

Williams’ admission comes years after Morgan Wallen was captured on surveillance footage using the N-word during a drunken rage.

During a recent episode of The New York Times’ “Popcast” podcast, Williams responded to a question about a lyric in one of her songs that says, “I’ll be the biggest star / in this racist country singer’s bar.”

While the “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” singer said the lyric could apply to a “couple” of country stars, she made it clear that she was aiming specifically at Wallen.

“I’m always talking about Morgan Wallen,” she said, adding, “I don’t give a sh-t.” And she didn’t stop there. Before moving on, Williams addressed Wallen directly, stating, “Find me at Whole Foods, b-tch, I don’t care.”

Williams’ recent comments aren’t the first time she’s taken a direct shot at Wallen. Just eight weeks ago, the singer made waves in a viral social media clip where she declared Wallen’s Nashville bar her “least favorite.”

“When you open a business, you don’t just put your name on it. Like you come up with something, right?” she said, adding, “It can have your DNA in it, but I don’t understand the bars that are just people’s names.”

According to a previous report from The Blast, Wallen sparked major controversy in the pop culture zeitgeist in 2021 when a clip of him screaming the N-word was shared online.

Following the immediate backlash, Wallen addressed his use of the racial slur, explaining his behavior was a byproduct of him overconsuming alcohol. “Obviously the natural thing to do is to apologize further and just continue to apologize, but, because you got caught, but that’s not what I wanted to do,” he said. “I let so many people down who mean a lot to me and who have given so much to me, and it’s just not fair.”

Members of the Nashville NAACP board reached out publicly to Wallen, extending their hand and offering him the chance to have a productive conversation about the harm such words could cause. However, after accepting the meeting, the “Last Night” singer reportedly ghosted them.

The fallout from Wallen’s comments also had a severe impact on Grammy-nominated singer Mickey Guyton. According to USA Today, after the “Black Like Me” singer condemned Wallen on X, formerly Twitter, she was met with so much backlash that the stress triggered her to go into early labor.

“It wasn’t too, too early, just to be clear, but it definitely triggered it,” she said. “Like, I got cyberbullied really bad the day before I went into labor. It was really, really stressful.”

And despite Wallen’s racist rant occurring in 2021, some notable personalities have apparently made it their mission to ensure he doesn’t forget the damage he caused, including former adult film star Mia Khalifa, who shared a bold claim online, writing, “M*rgan W*llen is for racists, hope that helps!”

And the chaos amongst country singers isn’t limited to Williams and Wallen. The Blast previously reported on Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock’s recent encounter in Pryor, Oklahoma, that almost turned physical.

In viral social media footage, Bryan can be seen screaming at Adcock from the other side of a barbed-wire fence, saying, “Hey, do you want to fight me like a man? Come open the gate,” before aggressively shaking the structure.

Their beef stems from Adcock’s criticism of Bryan allegedly ignoring a 14-year-old fan during one of his concerts in the summer of 2025. In a later interview, Adcock accused Bryan of being disingenuous, saying the “I Remember Everything” singer wears a “big mask in his day-to-day life.”

Adock continued, “I don’t know if Zach Bryan’s really that great of a person.”
