Ric Lansing‘s recent storyline in General Hospital has left fans rolling on the floor. Ric’s concocting a wild story of joining a cult to explain his disappearance to his daughter has turned the show into a comedy fest. The latest episode shows Ric sticking to his hilarious cult lie despite his daughter, Molly, knowing the truth.
Ric telling Molly he was in a cult has General Hospital fans laughing
Fans are having a blast trolling Ric about his cult escape lie, which he went to elaborate lengths to justify. Taking to social media, fans shared their reactions to Ric’s cult escape story. Amazed by the storyline’s hilarity and absurdity, fans asked whether the soap opera had turned into a comedy show.
“I’m sorry but when did General Hospital become a comedy hour? Watching Rick explain everything to Molly is absolutely hilarious!” one fan wrote on the General Hospital’s Facebook fanpage, triggering a chain of similar opinions.
“It is a comedy of errors with those three stooges making it much worse than 9-5! lol,” another commented. “I laughed so hard. Poor Cody had no idea what was going on,” one fan wrote.
Ric’s elaborate lie involves him attending a digital detox retreat where he allegedly drank ayahuasca tea, leading him to lose his way in the woods. Ric further claimed that Cody Bell was the one who found him and saved his life.
While Ric’s web of lies had viewers dying of laughter, the actual events that led to his return were much more sinister. Contrary to the made-up escape story, he was actually held captive by Alexis, Ava, and Kristina in Alexis’s basement. Considered a liability for helping the trio pull off a heist, Ric was tortured, gagged, and sedated while in captivity.
Although Cody Bell did rescue Ric, it wasn’t from a cult or wilderness. Cody had stumbled upon Ric while walking his dog, Outback, near Alexis’ house.
