Lisa Barlow is clapping back after being shamed on X for flashing a fistful of $100 bills on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
After being compared to The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice, 53, who spent 11 months behind bars after her on-camera cash spending seemingly sparked a fraud investigation into her and her now-ex-husband Joe Giudice‘s finances, Lisa, 50, explained why she was carrying so much cash and insisted fans had nothing to worry about.
“Anyone else feel weird watching [Lisa Barlow] flex that wad of crispy 100s?” one fan asked. “I think the only other housewife we’ve seen shop and show that much cash on cam was [Teresa Giudice].”
“It was tip money and I used it to thank [Heather Gay] by getting her stuff no big deal,” Lisa replied.
Still, the same fan wasn’t convinced that Lisa’s decision to show off her cash was a good move.
“Girl, who flashes tip money on set long enough for the film crew to get you saying multiple sentences with it? I liked seeing [Angie Katsanevas‘] black cards more,” they stated.
Meanwhile, another fan also signaled Teresa’s cash spending on RHONJ.
“Remember what happened when Teresa kept paying cash for her high ticket purchases?” they asked, along with a meme of the currently incarcerated Jen Shah, 52, who said, “They don’t know any better.”
But Lisa insisted there was no reason to think she could face similar consequences to those of her fellow Real Housewives.
“Don’t worry,” Lisa responded. “I have three AMEX cards and a Chase Sapphire card too.”
But again, fans felt that the scene in question could lead to something bad happening to Lisa.
“Baby,” one person warned, “You or [Dorit Kemsley] are next.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
