Donald Trump is breaking his silence after a round documents was released from the Jeffrey Epstein case, which included emails that the late sex offender referenced Trump.
“The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
“Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap. The Democrats cost our Country $1.5 Trillion Dollars with their recent antics of viciously closing our Country, while at the same time putting many at risk — and they should pay a fair price,” Trump continued. “There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our Country, and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats!”
As we previously shared, late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein had some specific thoughts about his connection with President Donald Trump, which he documented in emails before Trump became president and leading up to the 2020 election. These details came to light through newly released emails by the House Oversight Committee.
The emails, some of which were shared with PBS News, are part of a massive 23,000-document dump from Epstein’s estate that was released to the committee, as noted by ranking member Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif. The correspondence includes exchanges between Epstein and his ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who’s currently serving 20 years in prison for her role in Epstein’s sex trafficking operations.
In a 2011 email regarding Trump, Epstein remarked, “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump [sic]. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him … he has never once been mentioned.”
Maxwell replied, “I have been thinking about that … .”
In another email to author Michael Wolff on January 31, 2019, Epstein brought up the president’s private club, Mar-a-Lago, stating, “Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine [sic] to stop.”
In an exchange dated December 15, 2015, Wolff allegedly told Epstein that he had heard CNN was planning to question Trump about their relationship. This was the day of CNN’s 5th Republican primary debate during the 2016 election cycle. Epstein inquired, “If we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?” Wolff suggested, in part, that “If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt.” Interestingly, Trump wasn’t asked about Epstein during the debate, according to a PBS News review of the transcripts and video.
