Kevin James has taken to social media to do some guerrilla marketing for his next movie, creating tons of surprisingly touching videos for the comedy star.
How has Kevin James been marketing his new movie?
In a series of new videos posted to social media, James has been making videos as Matt Taylor, a teacher at a school. The videos range from “Matt” talking about projects at the school, to giving life advice, to showcasing some of his artwork. The videos, which have surprised fans due to James’ usual stylings as a comic, also have a touching arc to them, as each usually features “Matt” imparting life lessons and other wisdom to those watching.

Of course, the videos themselves are a form of marketing for his upcoming movie, Solo Mio. The romantic comedy stars Kevin as Matt, “a man whose dreams of a picturesque Italian wedding are shattered when his fiancée leaves him at the altar,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “Matt embarks on his planned honeymoon across Italy alone, immersing himself in the country’s vibrant culture, food, and beauty, meeting Gia along the way.”
Alongside James, Solo Mio also stars Alyson Hannigan, Nicole Grimaudo, Kim Coates, Jonathan Roumie, Julee Cerda, Julie Anne Emery, and Alessandro Carbonara.
Solo Mio is directed by Chuck Kinnane and Dan Kinnane, who previously collaborated with James in the 2022 sports comedy movie Home Team. The ensemble cast also includes Alyson Hannigan, Nicole Grimaudo, Kim Coates, Jonathan Roumie, Julee Cerda, and Julie Ann Emery. The screenplay was written by James, along with Patrick and John Kinnane.
