Vice President JD Vance‘s wife Usha Vance is having her reps speak out after being spotted without her wedding ring amid marriage rumors that follow JD and Erika Kirk‘s viral embrace.

Erika Kirk Remembers Late Husband Charlie Kirk 7 Weeks After Assassination, Claims VP JD Vance Has ‘Some Similarities’
As we previously shared, Charlie Kirk‘s widow Erika, 36, introduced Vice President Vance, 41, on stage at a Turning Point USA event at the University of Mississippi on October 29. Erika took over as CEO of her late husband’s company after his assassination on September 10. Also present at the event was Vance’s wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, 39. The two have been married since 2014 and share three children: sons Ewan Vance, 8, and Vivek Vance, 5; and daughter Mirabel Vance, 3.
Opening the event, Erika gave an emotional speech about the late right-wing political organizer, with whom she shares two children. She noted that the day marked seven weeks since her 31-year-old husband’s death. She said:
“When our team asked my dear friend, Vice President JD Vance, to speak today, I really prayed on it, because obviously it’s a very emotional, emotional day. But I could just hear Charlie in my heart. I could just hear him say, ‘Go reclaim that territory, babe. Go. The battle’s already won. God’s love conquers.’”

As Erika’s eyes filled with tears, she told the crowd how she feels VP Vance reminds her of her late husband. She explained:
“No one will ever replace my husband. But I do see some similarities of my husband in JD— in Vice President JD Vance. I do. And that’s why I am so blessed to be able to introduce him tonight.”
Erika then welcomed VP Vance to the stage before sharing a warm and intimate embrace. As VP Vance first held her back, he rested his hands on Erika’s lower waist/upper hips. Meanwhile, she held his head after grabbing a hand full of his hair. The embrace sent shockwaves across the internet, leaving users wondering if there was an alleged affair coming to light.

JD Vance’s Wife Usha Spotted Without Wedding Ring Amid Marriage Rumors After JD & Erika Kirk’s Viral Embrace; Usha’s Reps Speak Out
Since the VP JD Vance and Erika Kirk’s viral embrace, Usha Vance has been spotted without her wedding ring. On November 8, a little over two weeks after the embrace, The Vances attended The Marine Ball in Washington, D.C. In Getty photos, the two are both wearing their wedding rings.
However, by November 10, photos show Usha without her ring. As the couple visited the Walter Reed Medical Center, Usha was visibly without her wedding ring. However, VP Vance wore his. Then, on November 19, Usha Vance joined First Lady Melania Trump during a visit to Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She again was seen without her wedding ring.
While the Second Lady remains relatively private and rarely speaks with press, a spokesperson is now addressing marriage rumors. A rep for Usha gave a statement to PEOPLE and said:
“[Usha is a] mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.”
VP Vance also went viral after claiming he wanted his wife to convert religions. On October 29, during a Turning Point USA event, he said that he hopes his Hindu wife will one day convert to Catholicism as he did in his 30s. Before converting, VP Vance was a self-proclaimed athiest.
