Taylor Swift’s Showgirl is back in Australia’s chart spotlight.

The U.S. pop superstar returns to No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with The Life Of A Showgirl (via Universal), after two weeks adrift.

Showgirl lifts 3-1 on the latest chart, published Dec. 5, for a seventh non-consecutive weeks at the summit. With that effort, it becomes her fourth longest-reigning album after Midnights (16 weeks at No. 1), 1989 (Taylor’s Version) (14 weeks) and The Tortured Poets Department (eight weeks), the latter of which is up 21-16 on the current frame. Earlier this week, Swift was confirmed by Spotify as the most popular artist with the streaming giant’s users this year in Australia.

The top new release on the ARIA Chart belongs to homegrown blues and roots duo Pierce Brothers, as Moonrise opens its account at No. 14. That’s Jack and Patrick Pierce’s seventh top 50 appearance on the all-genres ARIA Chart, and it’s the top-ranked Australian recording of the week, giving it leadership of the ARIA Top 20 Australian Albums Chart.

Also new to the ARIA Chart top 20 is Melbourne singer Jemma Siles, whose debut EP Scripts Of Fate bows at No. 18.

The Queen of Pop, Madonna, enjoys another top 20 appearance on the ARIA Chart withBedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter. The 30th anniversary homage to the singer’s R&B-flavored sixth album collects early demos, alternate versions and rarities, and it appears at No. 20.

Close behind is Aussie punk rock act Godspeed, which bags a top 40 debut with These New South Whales, new at No. 23.

Over on the ARIA Albums Chart, Olivia Dean can’t be budged from the throne as “Man I Need” holds top spot for the third straight week. The English singer was recently in the market, for a performance of the song at the 2025 ARIA Awards and a separate outdoor set at Fleet Steps. She’ll return next year for a tour proper.

The hottest new release is “I Run” by British producer Harrison Walker (aka HAVEN), which sprints in at No. 9. The controversial single reached No. 8 in October, but was scrubbed by a slew of streaming platforms following claims that its vocals were AI generated. There’s no such problem with this new version; British singer Kaitlin Aragon provides the vocals. It’s the only new release in the top 50, a tally that includes no homegrown recordings.
