Whew! Steven Henry had the courthouse shook after deputies say he pulled a move no one saw coming. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says the 33-year-old, who initially showed up for a few misdemeanor traffic offenses, ended up turning his quick courtroom visit into a full-blown felony situation. And let’s just say…the way he reportedly exited the building has the internet clutching their pearls.

Steven Henry Heard “Warrant” & Chose To Exit Stage Left

According to officials, Steven Henry was waiting in the courtroom on Wednesday morning when the assigned deputy briefly stepped out to book another individual. Normally, judges skip over anyone with an active warrant until the deputy returns—but in this case, Henry apparently got word about the warrants against him and decided to make his own escape plan. Deputies say he bolted and busted straight through an emergency exit, leaving destruction in his path.

He Ran From Warrants, Then Ran Into A Felony

The sheriff’s office estimates the damage at around $15,000, which immediately escalated the situation from traffic offenses to something far more serious. Authorities say an additional warrant is now being filed, including charges for criminal mischief and disrupting governmental operations. And because the damage exceeded $5,000, that means one of those charges is officially a felony. If convicted, Henry’s courthouse dash may end up costing him far more than the traffic tickets he originally walked in with.

Courthouse Always Has Folks Cutting Up

Listen, something about court just makes people act up, and a viral clip from the 36th District Court is the latest proof. As previously reported, in a livestream with Judge Sean B. Perkins, Officer Jackson raised his right hand for the oath — with his bare legs out for the world to see. Judge Perkins kept it professional but couldn’t ignore the moment, asking, “You got some pants on, officer?” Jackson fumbled with his camera, tried to explain, then finally admitted, “No, sir.” And just like that, the hearing rolled on as if pants weren’t missing, but the internet? Oh, the internet is spiraling.
