The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City still has two more episodes left in its sixth season, but already, we’re getting word about what its upcoming seventh season could look like.
While Bravo isn’t expected to confirm its season seven cast until next year, closer to the premiere date for the new episodes, an insider revealed last week that a couple of women from season six are facing a potential demotion as producers plan to bring one or two new cast members to the show.
“RHOSLC cast will stay the same with [one or two] newbies. It will be like [The Real Housewives of Miami] with a few heavily featured friends. Right now, [Bronwyn Newport], [Lisa Barlow], [Heather Gay], [Angie Katsanevas], [Mary Cosby], and [one] newbie will def be full time,” the source told Bravo and Cocktails on December 4.
The insider went on to say that when it came to Meredith Marks, 53, and Whitney Rose, one of the women would be full-time, while the other was demoted to a “friend” role.”
As for Britani Bateman, 54, she will reportedly remain a “friend,” along with another new cast member.
“They want to introduce new women because after season [seven] they know a couple might be gone,” the source concluded.
Although former cast member Jen Shah, 52, is expected to be released from prison on December 10, she will not be returning to the show.
Amid rumors of the supposed possibility, Andy Cohen, 57, silenced the chatter on the December 2 episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live.
“I just want to say once again, for anyone who is asking. I think I’ve said this before: She’s not coming back to [RHOSLC]. She’s not,” he declared. “I wish her all the best in her next life. I would assume she’ll wind up on a reality show of some kind. But it won’t be anything that I’m working on. I don’t know that I could see Bravo working with her again. So, there you go. Let’s just, can we put a period on the end of that sentence?”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
