The latest episode of Tracker, “Eurydice,” delivers one of the series’ most emotionally complex stories to date, following Colter as he reopens a year-old missing child case that many in the town of Juliet, North Carolina, have long assumed ended in tragedy. The episode opens with a brief but unsettling scene: a woman waking up from a night of heavy drinking discovers her young daughter, Aubrey, is gone. The house is in disarray, and the panic in her voice as she searches the yard sets the tone for what becomes a slow, painful unraveling of the truth.
A year later, Colter arrives at the home of Sierra, Aubrey’s mother, who has been living under suspicion since the day her daughter vanished. Sierra explains that she called Colter because she has no remaining support from law enforcement, who believe she was responsible for Aubrey’s disappearance. Her remorse from the night she blacked out, combined with the blood later confirmed to be Aubrey’s, left an indelible cloud over her. Now ten months sober and trying to rebuild her life, Sierra shows Colter the tattered pink dress she found hanging on her clothesline that morning, the same dress Aubrey wore constantly and refused to let her wash. Sierra believes someone placed it there intentionally, and Colter agrees that its sudden appearance cannot be ignored. Although he warns her the chances of finding Aubrey alive after a year are slim, Sierra insists she cannot stop searching. Colter chooses to help, even knowing the police will likely arrest her as soon as she reports the dress.
As predicted, Sierra is taken into custody, and Detective Tyson West makes it clear he considers her the primary suspect. Tyson, who went to high school with Sierra, believes she enjoys attention and is looking to reignite the attention since it has gone stale after a year. During questioning, he presents her 12-step workbook and interprets a deeply personal line, expressing guilt that her drinking led to Aubrey’s death, as a confession. Sierra breaks down trying to explain the difference, and it’s only Reenie’s timely arrival as legal counsel that halts the interrogation. Reenie promises Sierra that Colter will uncover the truth.

Colter begins retracing the steps of the person on the neighbour’s security footage, a figure in a Captain Calabash restaurant hoodie who appears to have been near Sierra’s property the night before the dress was found. At the marina restaurant, Colter identifies the teen as Spencer. Frightened, Spencer tries to flee, but once confronted, he tells Colter he found the dress in his backyard and thought hanging it might prompt someone to take the case seriously again. Spencer is terrified of his father, Trevor Flint, a man with a violent criminal past who once cut off his own brother’s fingers. He believes Trevor had something to do with Aubrey’s disappearance but never dared go to the police.
Trevor becomes the focus of the investigation, though Tyson notes Trevor was cleared a year earlier due to a solid alibi. When Colter finds fresh evidence at the Flint property and Trevor returns home armed with a shotgun, the situation escalates quickly. Before Trevor can escape, Colter overpowers him, and cadaver dogs are brought in. Trevor claims anything in the shed is his missing brother Derek’s, and a flashback shows tension between the brothers around the time Aubrey vanished. Inside the shed, Colter finds a tuft of Aubrey’s hair, boy’s clothing tags, and hair dye, enough to suggest Derek kidnapped Aubrey, altered her appearance, and went on the run.
The discovery shifts the investigation dramatically. Tyson and his team begin searching for Derek, but Derek’s credit cards and phone have been inactive for a year. Still, Colter checks the last known location of Derek’s phone and discovers a skeleton missing two fingers, the same ones Trevor cut off, confirming that Derek is dead. The gunshot wound indicates someone else killed him and likely took Aubrey afterward. The land where the body is found belongs to a trust connected to Arthur, the former lead detective on the case. Colter realizes Arthur may have been involved from the start.

When Colter calls Tyson with the information, Tyson struggles to accept that Arthur, someone he has respected for years, could be responsible. Moments later, Arthur ambushes him, confirming Colter’s suspicions and setting off a race to find Aubrey before Arthur disappears with her again.
Inside Arthur’s home, Colter finds a fully furnished bedroom for a young girl and drawings labeling Arthur and his wife as Aubrey’s grandparents. The revelation that Aubrey is the daughter of Arthur’s late son, Jason, reframes Arthur’s motives: upon discovering his biological connection to the child, he convinced himself Sierra was unfit and took Aubrey under the belief he was protecting her. When Colter confronts Sierra, she admits she never told anyone Jason was the father.
Arthur calls Colter, claiming Aubrey is safe and insisting Sierra’s past addiction made her an unworthy parent. His conviction is unshakeable, he believes he rescued Aubrey from Derek and that he and his wife, Iris, can give her a better life. When Colter challenges the lie Arthur fed Aubrey about her mother being dead, Arthur refuses to relent. The situation becomes even more dire when Arthur shoots Tyson and warns Colter that he must choose between saving Tyson or pursuing Aubrey. Colter opts to save Tyson, stabilizing him until the ambulance arrives, then heads to the marina after learning Arthur owns a boat named Eurydice.
The final confrontation at the docks is tense. Arthur fires shots at Colter, who falls into the water, but he resurfaces unharmed and manages to subdue Arthur. Iris, shaken and remorseful, brings Aubrey out of hiding. For the first time since the night she disappeared, Aubrey is safe.

The episode closes with Sierra being granted a supervised reunion with her daughter. The emotional weight of the moment is clear: Sierra is still fragile, still healing, but determined to be the mother she couldn’t be a year earlier. Reenie reassures her that recovery is not linear and that progress, not perfection, is what matters. Colter visits Tyson in the hospital, who apologizes to Sierra through him for misjudging her, and Reenie explains that CPS will work with Sierra to rebuild custody. In one of the episode’s strongest scenes, Sierra confides in Colter that she failed Aubrey the night she went missing. Colter gently tells her that being present now is what matters.
“Eurydice” stands out as one of Tracker’s most emotionally layered episodes, thoughtfully exploring themes of redemption, grief, and the harm caused when assumptions overshadow truth. By the end, the story reframes itself not as a tragedy but as a story about second chances- for Sierra, for Aubrey, and even, in a complicated way, for Arthur, whose choices were devastating but rooted in a twisted sense of love. The episode leaves a lasting impact by grounding its twists in human vulnerability and reaffirming the show’s central belief: that finding someone is never just about locating a missing person, but about uncovering the truth that lets healing begin.
