Doris Day Collection Blu-ray Review: 4 Classic Movies

Peacock has announced the release date for the upcoming streaming debut of Emma Stone‘s latest collaboration with director Yorgos Lanthimos. Stone’s sci-fi dark comedy movie Bugonia was based on 2003’s South Korean movie Save the Green Planet!

“A wildly entertaining psychological thriller, the film follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap a powerful CEO they believe is an alien out to destroy humanity. What begins as a paranoid act spirals into a battle of delusions and control—one as viscerally unpredictable as it is provocative,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

When is the Bugonia streaming release date?

Bugonia will be available for streaming starting on December 26, exclusively on Peacock. Since its world premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, the movie received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, with a Certified Fresh rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 307 reviews. It is currently nominated for three major Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actor, Best Actress.

The film was directed by Lanthimos from a screenplay written by Will Tracy, with Midsommar director Ari Aster serving as a producer. The movie also stars Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Alicia Silverstone, Stavros Halkias, Vanessa Eng, Marc T. Lewis, Momma Cherri, Cedric Dumornay, Parvinder Shergill, and more. It has a total runtime of 118 minutes, or an hour and 58 minutes.

The movie was produced by Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Lanthimos, Stone, Lars Knudsen, Miky Lee, and Jerry Kyoungboum Ko. It was a production by CJ ENM, the company behind Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite.
