Avengers: Doomsday is going to be one powerful movie! Lewis Pullman gives his thoughts on making a return as Sentry in the upcoming Marvel film.
One of the biggest draws of Avengers: Doomsday is that so many nostalgic Marvel actors are making their return. James Marsden, Alan Cumming, even Sir Ian McKellen. However, that doesn’t mean the movie will be bereft of new faces. Perhaps the most prominent is Lewis Pullman, who only this year made his debut as Sentry in Thunderbolts.
Lewis Pullman actually had the chance to talk about his role in Avengers: Doomsday during a recent appearance on The View. The actor explained that he still can’t believe they asked him to return as Sentry in the project, stating that the character speaks to a very personal part of his being.
“I couldn’t believe I was allowed to be in that movie. It was so fun. I’m so lucky to play this character because he means so much to me. There’s something about his ethos that’s very personal to me. “

Of course, Lewis Pullman isn’t the only new gen Marvel star making their return in Avengers: Doomsday. He’s also joined by Danny Ramirez, who played Falcon in Captain America: Brave New World. The actor reflected on spending time with his close friends between takes as Sentry, both men in disbelief about what they were doing.
“So I did Top Gun: Maverick and made one of my best friends in the world in Danny Ramirez and so we’re both in Doomsday and when we were sitting in our cast chairs and in our costumes we were like, ‘What is happening right now?’”
In an age where so many actors, young and old, seem to see Marvel as an enemy- it’s good to see someone like Lewis Pullman still holding excitement for projects like Avengers: Doomsday. Given how Sentry ended his story in Thunderbolts, it’s going to be interesting to see where he’s taken when he makes his return in the upcoming film.
