Focus Features’ latest dark comedy starring Academy Award winner Emma Stone has just been added to Peacock’s library. Nearly four months after its world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, Stone’s acclaimed 2025 movie Bugonia is now officially available to stream on Peacock.

What do we know about Emma Stone’s newest dark comedy movie?

Bugonia also stars Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Alicia Silverstone, Stavros Halkias, Vanessa Eng, Marc T. Lewis, Momma Cherri, Cedric Dumornay, Parvinder Shergill, and more. During its theatrical run, the film has received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. It currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 308 reviews.

“A wildly entertaining psychological thriller, the film follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap a powerful CEO they believe is an alien out to destroy humanity. What begins as a paranoid act spirals into a battle of delusions and control—one as viscerally unpredictable as it is provocative,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

Bugonia was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos from a screenplay written by Will Tracy, with Midsommar director Ari Aster serving as a producer. This serves as Stone and Lanthimos’ latest collaboration, after previously working together in The Favourite, Poor Things, and Kinds of Kindness. The movie was produced by Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Lanthimos, Stone, Lars Knudsen, Miky Lee, and Jerry Kyoungboum Ko. It is currently nominated for three Golden Globe awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actor for Plemons, and Best Actress for Emma Stone.
