Angie Katsanevas’ husband, Shawn Trujillo, is insisting he’s “not far right” after social media users highlighted the fact that he was following several conservatives, including Joe Rogan, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Senator John Kennedy, Dana White, Lara Trump, the late Charlie Kirk, and his widow, Erika Kirk, on Instagram.
As the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City hairdresser shaded the accusations as “nonsense,” he explained why he was following the selected Republicans, insisted he had “centrist” views, and reacted to cancel culture.
“I don’t have anything to add other than I’m not far right,” Shawn told Reality Shrine on December 23. “It’s nonsense. I gather info. Both right and left but for some reason they only pick up on the right. Everything that is being talked about is all based on assumptions.”
“None of these people bring up the fact that I follow CNN and [Anderson Cooper] or Van Jones. Add Bill Maher. This Andrew Tate business is crazy. I didn’t even know who he was but as a car enthusiast, I started following him based on automobiles,” he continued.
According to Shawn, his views are “more centrist.”
“I have tremendous support for the LGBTQ community and the ability to have every right we all have. My biggest challenge is that everyone thinks they should think like them or get canceled. It’s bananas,” he noted.
No matter who he’s following on social media, Shawn said he is someone who believes in diversity on many levels.
“I have many friends with different beliefs and I always have love and respect for my friends regardless of political or religious beliefs,” he stated. “If I hit a like on a friends post it to be supportive of a friend not necessarily with the content.”
