Who will be the main heroes of Avengers: Secret Wars? A rumor suggests some surprising faces will be taking center stage in the project.
With Avengers: Doomsday right around the corner, the rumor mill has now finally started to spin up with reports about Avengers: Secret Wars. While these early days of reporting are mostly filled with things like production company names and returning contracts, it seems some details are starting to leak out about the film’s plot.
Specifically, scooper DanielRPK has taken the stage to reveal that there will be (at least) four leading heroes during the events of Avengers: Secret Wars. Perhaps fitting for Marvel’s history, the four heroes seem split among two camps: the X-Men, and the Spider-Man. (er…Spider-Men). And for anyone familiar with the most popular rumor about this film prior to now, some of these faces should look familiar.
Who Are The Main Characters Of Avengers: Secret Wars?
Starting off with the Spider-Men, the rumor states that both Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire will reprise their role as Spider-Man in Avengers: Secret Wars, playing major roles in the project. Neither of these are particularly shocking additions, given one is the biggest face of Marvel today, and the other is the biggest face of Marvel in history.
As for the X-Men, it seems that both Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will be leading the charge in Avengers: Secret Wars. While this may seem odd to some, it isn’t shocking historically speaking. Jackman carried the franchise for the 2000s to the 2010s. It’s only after he retired that Reynolds properly became the Merc with a Mouth, with him basically carrying Fox’s X-Men movies on his back for a decade.
