NBA star Stephen Curry showed love to WNBA standout Angel Reese by rocking the “Receipts Ready” edition of her debut signature shoe courtside at the Golden State Warriors’ recent contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Angel Reese released her first signature shoe in September 2025, selling out three unique colorways within hours. At the time, Reese called the success of her Reebok sneaker a “dream turned reality.” Since then, the Chicago Sky star has continued raising the bar with celebrity collaborations and additional colors.

Curry has become a trending topic on social media after the Warriors’ January 2 contest against the Thunder. In pictures shared online, the NBA champion and Olympic gold medalist is seen sitting courtside next to some of his teammates wearing Reese’s shoe, the “Angel Reese 1.”
Curry’s support comes amid his sneaker free agency tour, which has seen him sporting sneakers from heavy hitters, from A’ja Wilson to Kobe Bryant to Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton’s shoe, the Puma Hali 1.

Curry Isn’t The Only NBA Player To Show Love To Angel Reese By Wearing Her Sneakers
Curry isn’t the first active NBA player to lace up a pair of “Angel Reese 1s,” as Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason was seen wearing the Sky star’s bright pink colorway, titled “Mebounds.”
Reese didn’t miss the chance to highlight the athlete’s support, resharing the post on X and writing, “MEBOUNDS LOOK FIREEEE,” according to The Blast. But the support didn’t stop there. In a TikTok post, Eason is seen wearing Reese’s Baltimore-themed pair, “Charm City,” which features an all-purple upper with black detailing.
Reese’s younger brother, Julian Reese, who signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Toronto Raptors, has also been spotted in the “Diamond Dust,” “Mebounds,” and “Midnight Diamond Dust” colorways.

Angel Reese’s First Signature Sneaker Sold Out Within Hours Of Its Release

Seeing powerhouse athletes in Reese’s sneakers isn’t surprising, as the baller’s first three pairs sold out within hours of their September 2025 release. “I can’t even put into words how PROUD I am of this moment, how THANKFUL I am for the journey, and how GRATEFUL I am for every single person who has supported me along the way. 23 years old… and I just dropped my very first signature shoe. WOW,” she captioned a video she shared online.
According to another report from The Blast, Reese’s first-ever signature sneaker with Reebok came after more than two years of hard work and brainstorming. In one of her first statements about the product, Reese called the shoe more than just another release. Instead, she said it’s “my style, my story, and my stamp on the game.”

“Reebok and I built something that’s true to who I am, and I hope it pushed others to stand in their power, too,” she added. “At the end of the day, it’s built for basketball — made to move and perform at the highest level.”

Reese Wrapped Up Her Second Season In The WNBA As The League’s Leading Rebounder

In addition to the release of her signature sneaker, Reese had more to be excited about at the end of her second year in the WNBA. Not only did she become the second youngest player in the league’s history to secure a triple-double, but she also became the fastest player to reach 46 career double-doubles.
Reese also became a 2x WNBA All-Star during the 2025 season and notched multiple 20-point and 20+ rebound games. In fact, Reese led the league in rebounds, averaging 12.6 per game, solidifying her status as one of the most elite rebounders in league history.
Curry Has Always Been A Supporter Of Women’s Sports

Seeing Curry sitting courtside in one of Reese’s signature sneakers won’t be a surprise to fans of his, considering he’s always shown his love and support for women’s basketball. According to a previous report from The Blast, Curry even invested in the inaugural season of the 3×3 women’s basketball league, Unrivaled.
