Second chances are rare in life, but not in fiction. 13 Going on 30 follows a 13-year-old girl, Jenna Rink (Christa B. Allen), who is humiliated on her birthday. When Jenna makes a birthday wish to be 30, she skips over the next three decades of her life and wakes up looking like Jennifer Garner.
Although Jenna has no memories of the past 17 years, she’s horrified to discover that she’s become a bad person in the interim. Even worse, Jenna drove off her childhood friend, Matty Flamhaff (Mark Ruffalo), the only guy who ever truly loved her. For her own sake, Jenna tries to save that friendship, and she just may find her way back into his heart.
