Joe Gorga revealed he was “waiting” for his sister, Teresa Giudice, to call him during their years-long feud, and he shared which of their kids held the biggest “grudge.” Teresa also shared more details about their family’s recent Christmas, and she hinted at where Joe and her husband, Luis Ruelas, now stand.
A few months ago, Teresa and Joe shocked Real Housewives of New Jersey fans with their reconciliation four years after they stopped speaking. Their feud seemingly started when Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga, refused to go to Teresa and Luis’ wedding in 2022.
For the first time on his sister’s podcast, Turning the Tables, Joe recalled his first reaction to their reconciliation.
“I was just like waiting for that call. I really was. I just said, ‘She’ll call one day. She’ll call,’” said Joe. “I was waiting for you to call. It was up to you. So it was your call, and I waited, and it was great.”
“I missed you,” said Teresa. “Did you miss me?”
“I did,” Joe answered. “[I missed] almost everything. We had an amazing relationship. Again, we were best friends. And just her silliness because she’s funny as f**k. … The biggest thing that really hurt me a lot [was that] our parents are gone, and we’re not talking. So it wasn’t good. It wasn’t a good feeling. But now, you know, that would never happen again.”
Joe revealed that his daughter, Antonia Gorga, and Teresa’s daughter, Milania Giudice, held the biggest “grudge against each other” among the kids because they were the closest before the family feud.
“[So] it kind of took a little minute [when we all got together] for the first time on Christmas Eve,” he explained. “And then [Antonia and Milania] had their little talk. And before you knew it, within an hour, they’re TikToking together, they’re laughing.”
Teresa recalled that Gia Giudice gave a speech that made her cry, and her dad, Joe Giudice, called and spoke to Joe Gorga on the phone.
“And then Louie and my brother have been talking since we made up,” she said.
Joe added, “We are men. We had our little argument. It’s okay. I’ve let it go a long time ago. I really have. I just really wanted to move on. I’m more happy that we all are together. That’s more important to me.”
Joe said he and Teresa agreed during their first meeting not to discuss the past. According to Teresa, when they later went to lunch together, it felt like “no time and passed.” Joe said there wasn’t even “an awkward moment” because they’re “letting s**t go,” and Teresa said she “felt the love” from Melissa.
