Heather Gay addressed how the new season was “hijacked,” hinted at where she stands with Lisa Barlow, and reacted to rumors of Meredith Marks’ exit. Heather also shared if she sees herself reconciling with Jen Shah, and she declared her new goal to find love.
On the latest season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Heather and her co-stars confronted Meredith repeatedly for an alleged incident that happened off-camera. According to some castmates, Meredith berated Britani Bateman for hours on a flight after Britani brought up rumors that Meredith’s husband was unfaithful.
Speaking to iHeartRadio, Heather addressed how the season was “hijacked” by off-camera drama.
“It’s a shame when any drama that happens that’s not on camera that we have to fight about,” said Heather. “It’s unfair to the viewers. It’s hard for us to explain it … and I feel like a lot of the season got hijacked by these kinds off-camera huge dramas. … This season, it did take a turn.”
As for her friendship with Lisa, Heather explained, “The truth is Lisa and I fight pretty hard all the time. When we argue, we argue, and then we make up pretty quickly. We found ourselves on different sides of the fence this season, and that was newer, but it’s pretty expected, too. We come from things from a pretty different perspective, but we have a lot of history, and I think we’ll find our way back.”
She then addressed rumors that Meredith is leaving the show, as Heather shared how she would feel about it.
“Oh, I’d be devastated,” Heather claimed. “That would shock me if Meredith walked away, but she’s got to do what’s best for her, you know?”
But does Heather think she’ll reconcile with Jen Shah after her recent prison release?
“I hate to say definitives, but really no,” she answered. “And the truth is, the word on the street is that it’s home confinement, so she’s not really out amongst us. She might be in the zip code, but she’s not allowed to leave the porch. So, we’ve got a little time, a few months of not running into her at the grocery store. We’re not going to bump carts at Costco quite yet.”
“[But] if I [do] see Jen Shah pushing a Costco cart, I’ll fall down in shock more from her [being] in Costco than from seeing her in the flesh,” she continued. “I don’t think we’ll bump into each other. We only saw each other at Beauty Lab before. That was the only time we’d ever crossed paths, and I don’t see that in her future.”
Heather also revealed that her next goal in life is to find love.
“I want to manifest love in my life. I’ve been intentional about everything else in my life, including weight loss, and it feels like if I can be a manifestor to this level with everything else in my life, I should be able to manifest love,” explained Heather, who added that she’d be willing to film a Bravo show to find love. “Oh, yeah. I’d go on a Bravo show for anything. Yeah. Golden Bachelor. If cameras are up, I’m interested. That’s what you should know about me.”
