The attorney representing a security guard accusing Kenneth Petty of assault in a lawsuit, reveals Nicki Minaj paid a $500,000 judgment, at the very last minute, to avoid the forced sale of her $20 million mansion.

Nicki Minaj And Kenneth Petty Ordered To Pay $500K Default Judgment In Security Guard’s Assault Lawsuit

As we previously shared, former security guard Thomas Weidenmüller filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against Petty and Minaj, born Onika Maraj. In the complaint, Weidenmüller accused them both of assault, claiming they both roughed him up at a 2019 concert in Germany a few years prior.

During the alleged incident, Weidenmüller claimed a male fan jumped onstage, causing Minaj to allegedly go off on a female security guard for “letting it happen,” further calling the female guard a “f**king b*tch.”

While confronting the “Super Bass” rapper for targeting his subordinate, Weidenmüller alleged she threw a shoe at him. He also alleged her husband, Petty, punched him in the face and broke his jaw, requiring 8 different surgeries to fix the damage.

In March 2024, after failing to acknowledge the security guard’s assault lawsuit, a judge hit the “Anaconda” rapper and her husband with a default judgement. Minaj and Petty were ordered to pay $503,318.02. According to Minaj, she claimed no one from her team, notably her former business manager, informed her about the lawsuit. However, she remained on the hook.

By October 2025, it was reported the rapper was at risk of losing her $20 million Hidden Hills, Los Angeles mansion for failing to pay the security guard accusing her and her husband of assault. Still without a dime, Weidenmüller requested a judge force his alleged assailants to pay up through the forced sale of their multi-million-dollar mansion. Court documents read:

“The dwelling is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption—together just under $14 million. The property’s current fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption.”

Weidenmüller’s lawyers declared that’s more than enough to pay what Minaj and Petty owe their client, with millions still left over.

Nicki Minaj To Keep $20M Mansion After Paying $500K To Security Guard Accusing Her And Kenneth Petty Of Assault

On January 22, 2026, Rolling Stone reported that Nicki Minaj, at the very last minute, avoided the forced sale of her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion after paying the $500,000 default judgment awarded to Thomas Weidenmüller, the former guard who accused her and her husband, Kenneth Petty, of a 2019 concert assault.

Thomas Weidenmüller’s attorney, Paul Saso, told press outside a Los Angeles courthouse that he and his team were ready to continue their fight against Minaj and Petty. However, he excitedly revealed, “Today, we informed the court that Nicki Minaj has satisfied the judgment and so therefore there is no need to proceed further with our motion for an order authorizing the sale of her house to satisfy that.”

According to TMZ, Saso said he apologized to the court as he had just learned about the settlement at the very last minute before court began. It is unclear if Minaj paid the entire $500,000 or just a percentage to satisfy the default judgment. He simply noted, “She has satisfied the judgment. It required us going to the one-yard line.”

When asked how his client is responding, Saso said:

“He is incredibly gratified and happy. It’s been a long time coming to have justice finally done here. But, he’s very happy for himself. He suffered a very, you know, heinous attack years ago. And not only did it take years to achieve the judgment, but then took nearly two years to enforce that judgment. And we never thought it would have to go quite this far in order to actually go and put a levee on a multi-millionaire’s house, and go to the last 24 hours before she decides to satisfy the judgment.”

When asked if he’s talked to Minaj, and thinks she feels remorseful, Saso said:

“I can’t speak for her, I’m have not spoken to her directly. I’ve only spoken to her counsel.

I have spoken to her counsel over the last several months, but it was just yesterday that an agreement came together that she would satisfy the judgment.”

As for any last words for Minaj, Saso said:

“She has been very vocal online, recently, demeaning various types of people. And she’s certainly been very vocal about her thoughts on the gay and trans community and I’m happy that this case has helped her transition. Transition from a person who avoids responsibility to someone who is forced to take responsibility. And my hope is that it helps her transition from a person of violence to a person of peace.”
