Hulu’s Paradise isn’t done messing with our heads. A new Season 2 trailer just dropped, and it lets fans know that the lies surrounding the end of the world and the bunker meant to survive it are only getting messier.
The political thriller is pushing its story both above ground and deep back into the shadows, with new alliances, dangerous revelations, and one ominous warning that changes everything.
At the center of the chaos is Paradise, which returns with Xavier Collins finally breathing fresh air again. Sterling K. Brown’s Xavier is no longer trapped underground, and the trailer shows him opening up to Shailene Woodley, who joins the series in Season 2, about the brutal truth of his time in the bunker.
He talks about uncovering the lies he was fed, learning that the world above might not be what he was told, and making the desperate choice to steal a plane and escape to find his wife Teri. He survived the crash, barely, but the road ahead looks anything but easy.
Xavier teaming up with Woodley’s character adds a new dynamic to the series, especially as he tries to navigate a world that was supposed to be nothing but a nuclear graveyard. It looks like that freedom comes with consequences, and every step closer to Teri brings new threats, unanswered questions, and enemies who don’t want the truth exposed.
Back underground, things are unraveling fast. Julianne Nicholson’s Sinatra is under heavy pressure as she’s interrogated over whether she’s “comprising the integrity of the bunker” for her own personal gain. The power structure that once kept the bunker running smoothly is cracking, and paranoia is starting to seep into every conversation.
Adding even more danger to the mix is Thomas Doherty, who joins the series as the leader of a biker gang and delivers the following mysterious tease: “This bunker, there’s something that nobody knows about. Something dangerous.”
Whatever that secret is, it sounds like it could change the entire game for everyone still trapped below.
Season 2 also brings back a supporting cast that includes Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. Recurring guest stars this season include Woodley, James Marsden, Doherty, and Jon Beavers.
Paradise Season 2 premieres with its first three episodes on Hulu on Monday, February 23.
