Jeff Lewis said Alex Baskin and his production company, 32 Flavors, called him the “most difficult talent” they’re working with, though “it used to be” Dorit Kemsley. The star also shared why he thinks they said it.
In 2018, Jeff’s show, Flipping Out, was canceled by the network. But last year, Bravo announced that Jeff would return for a new show about his life. As of now, the working title is Still Flipping Out.
On Jeff Lewis Live, Jeff addressed Alex’s production company, 32 Flavors, who are producing the reboot.
“[32 Flavors] said that I am by far the most difficult talent that they’re working with,” said Jeff, via @bravosnarkside on Instagram. “And it used to be Dorit, by the way, allegedly.”
“But they said I’m miles ahead of her,” he added.
“[Did] Alex tell you that?” asked guest star Tamra Judge.
“Alex and [president] Jenn Levy,” said Jeff. “But here’s the thing: [It’s] because I push back, I negotiate, I protect my people.”
Back in November, BravoTV shared more details about the reboot: “In his new Bravo series, Jeff Lewis is as outspoken as ever, but this time the mic is always on. Lewis navigates the hilariously unpredictable nature of his professional and personal lives as his trademark spontaneity collides with the people who work with him, for him and still somehow survive him. Jeff Lewis can still flip out when he wants to, and he calls that personal growth.”
“Jeff Lewis has always been authentically himself, and that’s exactly why fans have followed him across different platforms and mediums,” said NBCUniversal exec Rachel Smith. “His humor and knack for beautiful chaos have only grown since Flipping Out. Bringing him back to Bravo feels less like a return and more like picking up right where we left off.”
A year earlier, Jeff teased the show on Jeff Lewis Live.
“We’ve been kind of hinting at the fact that there is a new television show on the horizon, and we have not given any details,” he said at the time. “All I can tell you is it’ll be a docuseries … You can kind of think of it like a Flipping Out reboot, Flipping Out 2.0, and I’m really very, very, very excited.”
