Is Josh Brolin finally making his return to the MCU? A rumor suggests that Avengers: Secret Wars may feature the Mad Titan himself: Thanos!
Avengers: Secret Wars is set to be the who’s-who of the Marvel universe. While details on the project are currently rather sparse, signs point to the biggest names both inside and outside of the MCU reuniting to take on a threat even bigger than Josh Brolin’s Thanos. Which raises the question, will the Mad Titan himself return?
Even before considering the story of Avengers: Secret Wars, Thanos has reappeared in the MCU more than fans might think. The character infamously appeared in Multiverse of Madness (albeit not played by Josh Brolin). However, the Mad Titan has also made cameos in What If…?, Marvel Zombies, and even in an upcoming theme park ride!
Is Thanos In Avengers: Secret Wars?
Now it seems fans finally have their answer as to whether or not Thanos will make his grand return to the silver screen. According to a rumor by DanielRPK, Josh Brolin is officially set to reprise his iconic MCU role in the upcoming film. While details on what he’ll do in the film weren’t provided, fans have a pretty good guess based on the comics that Avengers: Secret Wars will adapt.
….he’s gonna die! To put it frankly, Thanos is not long for this world if Josh Brolin does reprise his role in Avengers: Secret Wars. While it may seem lame to bring the Mad Titan back just to kill him off, it’s a good way to set up the stakes for what kind of power the heroes will be facing off against. It’ll also bring one of the craziest moments in comics to the silver screen (the details of which we won’t spoil in this article!)
