Teresa Giudice is reportedly on “pins and needles” with Melissa Gorga.
Months after the sisters-in-law reconciled their relationship amid a years-long family feud that also involved their spouses, Joe Gorga, 51, and Luis Ruelas, 51, an insider has revealed that Teresa, 53, is being extremely cautious with her relationship with Melissa, 46, so that she doesn’t jeopardize the return of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
“[She is] completely on pins and needles and walking on eggshells around Melissa since they made up,” an insider told Radar Online on January 27. “She is absolutely terrified that if she makes one wrong move, it could spell demise in terms of escalating an issue and harming their relationship again.”
Despite the ladies reuniting earlier this week to film the upcoming road trip-themed season of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, the source suggested they hadn’t spent time together since Christmas.
“And even that day, Teresa was on her best behavior,” the insider noted, signaling Teresa’s reaction to trying Melissa’s line of sprinkle cookies years after infamously tossing them in the trash.
“You could tell it took everything in her to say they were good and try to play nice,” they alleged.
As for why Teresa was so concerned about ruffling feathers, the insider explained that she was allegedly “scared” as “she knows they need to keep the peace in order for RHONJ to hopefully return.”
“Producers made it abundantly clear they won’t film another season with them at odds and refusing to be in each other’s presence again,” the source stated. “Teresa needs the money, and she loves the fame and attention that comes with being on the show. She’s literally swallowing her pride and doing everything she can to keep things at bay so they can be back on TV … [and] avoiding putting herself in any situation with Melissa where she could say the wrong thing, have something she said misconstrued, or risk rocking the boat.
“She is laser-focused on getting RHONJ back and returning to it,” they continued.
While only “time will tell” what will happen between them once filming begins, the insider admitted it was “certainly possible she and Melissa could get into an altercation given the fact they will be forced to film together.”
“And Teresa could potentially say something that could set her off,” the source explained. “Of course, they could also get along and keep the peace as well.”
Until then, they continued, “Teresa remains cautious and is playing it safe.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been on pause since August 2024.
