Fans may already know the story for season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again! A popular theory teases one of the most beloved comic stories may finally be adapted.
While Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is just around the corner, the series’ (refreshing) annual release means that season 3 is already in development. So while fans don’t even know where to start when it comes to speculating where the show might go, that hasn’t stopped them from digging up every old comic to find which may be used as a basis for the next storyline.
But it wasn’t a comic that spurred this theory. Rather, it was casting news found by the social media account Daredevil Shots. Not only did they discover that season 3 of the series will be filming between March and July of this year, but they also unearthed some roles being cast. These roles are what clued fans in as to what comic Daredevil: Born Again could adapt next.

– Intimidating Officers
– Criminal Gang Members (all ethnicities)
The Story Of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3
Those roles should clue anyone in that the next season of Daredevil: Born Again will (at least partially) take place in a prison. However, it’s actually Josh Wilding at ComicBookMovie.com who posed the most likely theory yet as to what comic season 3 will be adapting. That comic being The Devil In Cell-Block D by Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark.
For those unaware, The Devil In Cell-Block D is perhaps the most celebrated Daredevil comic of the last few years, finding the titular hero in jail after Kingpin exposed his identity. Given season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is set to show Wilson Fisk’s rise to mayor as an anti-vigilante candidate, it’s a natural next step for season 3 to show Matt Murdock being persecuted under these new laws.
