The time has come for us to declare a 2025 Performer Of The Year.
2025 proved to be a standout year for television, defined by bold storytelling and unforgettable performances that kept audiences talking long after each episode aired. Rebecca Ferguson brought a steely intensity to Silo as Juliette Nichols, while Melissa O’Neil continued to ground The Rookie with heartfelt strength as Lucy Chen. Superhero television roared back with Charlie Cox’s gritty return as Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again, and Bella Ramsey deepened the emotional core of The Last of Us as Ellie Williams. Long‑running icons shone as well, with Mariska Hargitay’s enduring portrayal of Olivia Benson in Law & Order: SVU remaining a cornerstone of network drama. Newer series found their stars too: Melissa Benoist brought warmth and edge to The Waterfront, and Callum McGowan added mystery to The Librarians: The Next Chapter. Meanwhile, Jensen Ackles delivered a charismatic turn in Countdown, Emma Myers lit up Wednesday as Enid Sinclair, and Ethan Hawke brought gripping tension to The Lockdown. Rhea Seehorn captivated viewers with the haunting Pluribus, while Sadie Sink’s return as Max Mayfield in Stranger Things reminded fans why the character remains one of the show’s emotional anchors. Altogether, 2025’s television landscape was rich, dynamic, and driven by performers at the top of their game.
