Salley Carson wants Nick Viall and his wife, Natalie Joy, to publicly apologize to Austen Kroll after questioning him about the tragic death of his late sister on a past episode of their podcast, The Viall Files.
As she also reflected on her time on The Bachelor with Clayton Echard, 32, reacted to Real Housewives of New York City alum Dorinda Medley, 61, saying she wasn’t nice at BravoCon, and revealed if she agreed with Rodrigo Reyes‘ assessment of Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador, 61, the 31-year-old Southern Charm cast member said that while Nick, 45, and Natalie, 27, apologized privately to Austen, 38, the controversial moment called for something more.
“It honestly kind of broke my heart for him. I mean, watching it back, like I called him and made sure he was okay because I’m like, I am so sorry. That must have been, you know, just really hard. It also, it just came [out] of nowhere,” Salley noted on the February 10 episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio. “I could tell he was uncomfortable ’cause his leg was shaking.”
“They’ve both called him and apologized. [But], I do think that there should be a public apology for sure … I’m kinda like, are y’all like not wanting to apologize because you don’t really wanna admit that it was wrong?” she wondered.
Moving on to her time on The Bachelor, Salley said it was “night and day” compared to Southern Charm.
“I was seriously traumatized on The Bachelor … They take everything from you, like your phone, all of that stuff … [And] they just kind of tell you what to do,” she alleged.
According to Salley, she couldn’t stay on the show with Clayton because she was still in love with her ex-fiancée. However, that wasn’t to say she didn’t find herself attracted to Clayton.
“He is cute. And we had a lot longer of a conversation on the Bachelor than people saw. I mean, we talked for like two hours,” Salley revealed. “They were all like, trying to get me to stay. They were like, ‘You’re gonna be the person that gets the first date if you stay and all this stuff.’ And I was like, ‘Guys, like I gotta go.’”
Then, looking to Rodrigo’s suggestion that Shannon was “rude” at BravoCon, Salley said she had “a little bit” of a similar experience before adding, “Yeah. But I don’t know.”
As for Dorinda, Salley noted that her unfriendly demeanor may have been the result of her anxiety.
“It was my first BravoCon,” she explained. “I get like, a little bit nervous around other people that have been in Bravo for so long. Because I’m intimidated and I’m new to this and I’m like, ‘Oh my God. Like what if I say hey to her and she doesn’t say hey to me back,’ you know, like, I’m in my head at the same time.”
After not coming off the best during a bus ride with Dorinda and Madison LeCroy, 35, Salley said she sent Dorinda a message to apologize.
“I was like, ‘I’m so sorry for like coming off that way, that is not how I intended it to be,’ you know? She said like, I didn’t say hey to her … [But] she didn’t respond,” Salley explained.
Southern Charm season 11 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
