Kelly Dodd is threatening to sue Dr. Dhivya Srinivasa amid a messy online feud.
After the plastic surgeon reacted to a video in which the 50-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum seemed to defend Jill Zarin‘s racist rant about the Super Bowl Halftime show, prompting Kelly to lash out against her, telling her to “get a job” and suggesting her career in the medical field was the “lowest” on the totem pole, she’s now threatening legal action against Dr. Dhivya.
As seen in a video shared by the host of the Sarah from Texas Podcast, Kelly announced the news on her live show with Rick Leventhal, 66, Rick & Kelly’s Daily Smash.
“Well, I can’t talk about it right now because I am, I’ve got my Anthony Weiner, one of my big attorneys, I’m suing,” Kelly stated as Rick told her, “That’s not his name.”
Of course, Anthony, 61, is a former congressman whose fall from grace included a sexting scandal with a 15-year-old girl and nearly two years in federal prison.
“I’m in sue mode. How about that?” Kelly continued.
Then, after Rick first said he and Kelly weren’t going to say any names or talk about it, Kelly said they would talk about it if her attorney “allows [her] to,” and Rick changed his tune, suggesting the topic would be a big part of “this week’s Patreon.”
As their live show went on, Rick bizarrely wondered, “Who is spending hours a day going after someone they don’t know? Who does that?”
“Someone who doesn’t have a freaking life!” Kelly replied, failing to acknowledge her own behavior.
Along with her recap of Kelly and Rick’s live show, Sarah shared a comment from Dr. Dhivya in which she denied a potential cease and desist and noted that Kelly had no grounds to sue.
“lolllll no cease and desist. She couldn’t name the lawyer. She has no legal grounds so any lawyer (esp the good ones) will laugh her away. Oh, and she cannot afford one,” the doctor had written.
In another video, shared by Dr. Dhivya, the plastic surgeon signaled a recent video in which Kelly proclaimed that she was Native American and “[had] the papers to prove it.”
“Do you have the papers to prove that you are an immigrant and you’re here calling me a low IQ?” Kelly then asked Dr. Dhivya.
In response, as she jokingly referred to Kelly as “Kelly Dude,” Dr. Dhivya offered an English lesson to the controversial reality star.
“I know that I have been really hard on you and your command of the English language, or lack thereof, and I would love to let that joke die, but you just won’t let me. So we’re gonna do a little English lesson with Dr. Dhivya Srinivasa,” she declared, noting that “immigrant” would be the “word of the day.”
“[An] immigrant is any person who has come from one country to another country for permanent residence. I am from India … I was born there, and now I’m in the United States,” she shared. “[And] I have a lot of businesses in the United States where I live.”
After noting that she was “really good” at surgery, and also had a skin care line and a real estate portfolio, Dr. Dhivya said she likes to back up information with data before giving an example.
“When I call you low IQ, you then support my claim every single time you open your mouth,” she explained.
Following the sharing of the post, which was “liked” by Tamra Judge, 58, a number of others weighed in, including Chanel Ayan, 47, and Dr. Tiffany Moon, 41.
“Bestie at this point let her be she doesn’t seem ok,” Chanel wrote, as Tiffany offered a series of crying-while-laughing emojis.
A third video, which was “liked” by Heather Dubrow, 57, saw Dr. Dhivya mentioning how Rick was seemingly forced to clean up his wife’s mess.
“Kelli – while your husband has to run straight from his nesmax segment to your phone so he can delete your story with your plastic surgeon (yup she already deleted it) … mine is on a yacht,” she shared with a clip of her husband on the water.
She also included a caption, which read, “Ricky, we all feel for you bro. Blink twice if you need help. I’m sure we could also recommend a few apps you can use designed to keep children off of social media.”
Also on Instagram, after Reality Blurb shared a recap of the early moments of Kelly’s feud with Dr. Dhivya, both of the women spoke out.
In the doctor’s response, she mentioned that she hadn’t blocked Kelly and that all of her own videos were still live before noting that Kelly had blocked her and deleted all of the videos she shared about her.
“Convenient,” she noted. “Keli Bobb keeps telling ppl I recorded her live … Sorry, I have a functioning frontal lobe and never followed that lunatic. A Bravo fan page caught her blabbering and I added some thoughtful wit … The rest is there to watch. You can see her unraveling for yourself and it isn’t difficult to fact check.”
Meanwhile, in Kelly’s comment, she denied the account completely.
“This isn’t what happened. She went after me first after recording one of my lives, then played clips and went after me hard. Called me ‘dumb’ and ‘low IQ,’ went after my looks, criticized my nose, said I had veneers and ridiculed me for not speaking in full sentences, which is ridiculous since I was doing my makeup and reading comments while telling a story,” she stated. “She baited me into responding and is now using it against me to gain clicks and followers. And guess what, she’s done it before.”
“Look her up, then tell me if her behavior is appropriate for a doctor. Isn’t she supposed to be taking care of women, healing them instead of trying to humiliate them and then profit from it? This is classic leftist behavior calling someone racist because their politics are different from hers. She needs a dose of her own medicine,” Kelly added.
Kelly Dodd was featured in a full-time role on The Real Housewives of Orange County from season 11 through season 15.
