Crystal Kung Minkoff revealed a conversation that “shocked” Garcelle Beauvais, and that’s “never been aired” on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The star also recalled her past encounter with alum Eileen Davidson.
At last season’s reunion, Garcelle and Sutton Stracke parted ways, and they apparently haven’t spoken since. Many fans felt that Crystal sided with Sutton, and they don’t understand why Garcelle continues to be friends with her.
On Humble Brag, Crystal addressed the accusation that she “took Sutton’s side.”
“People need to [see] the other side of this. I had a conversation with Garcelle, and I had it on camera, and they did not air it,” said Crystal. “And I remember feeling like I cannot be here on this show if I don’t address Garcelle. I said it to her in front of the whole cast. So it’s all on camera. It’s all there. Just never been aired.”
“[I told her,] ‘I cannot move forward in our friendship unless you understand what I went through. And I just don’t really trust you,’” she recalled. “And she was really shocked. I think she was shocked that I said it. I think she underlying knew I felt this way. And she apologized, and she said, ‘I had no idea, but I’m really sorry that I did that to you.’ And I said, ‘I appreciate that. And from here on out, I will move forward. I will move on. And it’s in the past.’ But the audience never saw that.”
Crystal said this was a “really important” convo for their friendship.
“And I don’t know why they didn’t air that,” she said. “So I just think it’s really important that people know that we did go through that. We had that conversation. It was a pivotal moment for me, for Sutton, and for Garcelle and the cast to see. And we’ve been good since, and we’ve spoken. And I just think it’s important that that missing piece is understood.”
In an interview for My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, Crystal was asked to name the most underrated Housewife.
“Underrated. I think she gets a lot of love, but I love Eileen,” said Crystal. “She and I connected. … I’d never met her before, and she ran up to me. She’s like, ‘I’ve been wanting to meet you so much.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re Eileen Davidson. Like, you are my number one.’”
