Busta Rhymes & J Dilla Dropping New Album ‘Dillagence 2’

With their new, Aaron Dessner-co-written/co-produced album Prizefighter out today (Feb. 20) through Glassnote, Mumford & Sons have announced a gargantuan 2026 North American tour, including first-time visits to such stadiums as Chicago’s Wrigley Field (June 11) and Boston’s Fenway Park (June 22).

Starting June 2 in Vancouver, the trek will also visit arenas and amphitheaters, plus a handful of previously announced festivals including Hinterland in St. Charles, Ia. (Aug. 1) and Bourbon & Beyond in Louisville, Ky (Sept. 25). Openers for the run include CAAMP, Lord Huron, Sierra Ferrell, Marcus King Band, Dylan Gossett and Medium Build. Click here for tickets, which go on sale to the general public on Feb. 27.

Prizefighter sports guest appearances by Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton and Gigi Perez as well as the return of Dessner, who worked with Mumford on their chart-topping 2015 album Wilder Mind. A video for “The Banjo Song” is also out today and features dancers from attendees of Bristol, U.K.-based events company Streets of Soul’s club nights.

“I’ve been friends with the band for over 15 years but we hadn’t seen each other since before the pandemic when I ran into them at [New York’s] Electric Lady studios in May 2024,” Dessner wrote on Instagram. “We were all there to work on different projects but caught up and I shared song ideas and sketches I had been making (not knowing what they were) — and we quickly realized this was our moment to finally make an album together. It couldn’t have been a more natural process — it felt like I got to join their band for a year and the songs came quickly and fearlessly.”

“I have too many favorites to name — but ‘Conversation with My Son’ is one of the most emotionally meaningful songs I’ve ever been a part of making — and I even got to play an acoustic guitar solo like what I imagined Jerry Garcia would have on this one,” he continued.

Mumford have international shows sandwiched around the newly announced North American tour, including a July 4 blowout at BTS Hyde Park in London and Sept. 12 at Rock in Rio in Brazil.
