Fugazi have released the Albini Sessions, a collection of songs recorded with the late engineer Steve Albini. The sessions, available on Bandcamp, were recorded after the band experienced a creative standstill in the fall of 1992 and accepted Albini’s open offer to record for free at his Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago.
Proceeds from the Albini Sessions will benefit Letters Charity, a nonprofit organization that uses art to turn passive compassion into immediate support by distributing donated money directly to families experiencing poverty.

During the sessions, Fugazi and Albini recorded and mixed 12 songs for In On The Killtaker. Despite Fugazi and Albini realizing the recordings sounded flat after listening to them again, a month later, they reconvened in the studio with producer Ted Nicely and recorded what would become In On The Killtaker.
