2025 was dubbed the year of the pixie. But, 2026 has been proving the crop cut has much more life to live. In fact, this year, pixie cuts have arguably been even more popular and versatile than last year.
We’ve seen an uptick in wolf cuts as seen on Olandria, Quinta Brunson, and Justine Skye. Teyana Taylor tried out unconventional “pixie tails” in a detour from her usual vintage style. We even saw Zendaya and Marsai Martin take on iconic bixie cuts at the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards.
“It’s probably one of the boldest and best decisions you’ll ever make,” Stacey Ciceron told ESSENCE earlier this year. However, “the key is tailoring the cut to highlight your best features.” Luckily, this year, celebrities have proven just how easy it is to do that.
