Baton Rouge, Louisiana rapper Boosie doesn’t care what the critics have to say as he fires back at everyone questioning his pardon request from President Donald Trump. He claims when former President Joe Biden was in office, he repeatedly asked former Vice President Kamala Harris for help but to no avail.

On Sunday (March 15), Boosie took to his X account (formerly Twitter) and wrote:
“I CANT BELIVE PEOPLE MAD AT ME FOR ASKING TRUMP FOR A PARDON WHEN I ASKED KAMALA SEVERAL TIMES ON TWITTER FOR A PARDON ‼️THIS SHOWS THESE THINGS:1. YOU’RE A RACIST2. YOU JUST WANT ME LOCKED UP3. YOU’RE JEALOUS OF ME N MY SUCCESS4. ALL OF THE ABOVEDID U SAY ANYTHING TO BIDEN/KAMALA WHEN HE SAID HE WOULDN’T PARD[O]N HIS SON BUT DID ANYWAY N WE HAD THE SAME CHARGE💯N HOW IS ASKING FOR A PARDON MAKE U NOT A REAL N***A? In January 2025, Boosie took to X and begged Trump for a pardon. He wrote:
“Trump CHECK MY CASE OUT !! MY CASE WAS DISMISSED BUT BIDENS DOJ RECHARGED ME WITH THE SAME GUN CHARGE BIDEN PARDON HIS SON OF I WAS TOLD I AM THE ONLY PERSON IN THE COUNTRY FACING THAT CHARGE NOW. PRESIDENT TRUMP, I ALREADY WAS GIVEN A 10 YEAR SENTENCE N STATE N 2009 FOR 3rd offense MARIJUANA (grams ,grams, grams) I NEVER WAS EVEN OFFERED REHAB STRAIGHT TO PRISON. N TRUMP IM BOOSIE IM A RAPPER/ FILMMAKER FROM BATON ROUgE I Was TARGETED.. MY MOUTH N THINGS I STAND ON GET ME N ALOT SHIT BUT IM REAL!”
Before this, in November 2024, he wrote:

Boosie Escapes 2-Year Prison Sentence In Federal Gun Case After Pleading Guilty
Boosie’s post on X arrives two months after dodging a 2-year prison sentence in his federal gun case stemming out of San Diego, California. In August 2025, the “Independent” rapper, born Torrence Hatch Jr., pleaded guilty to gun charges in San Diego. The charges included being a felon in possession of a firearm.
He was first arrested in May 2023 after police claimed they found two loaded handguns inside a vehicle during a traffic stop in San Diego’s Chollas View neighborhood. At the time, Boosie was in California to shoot a music video and perform at San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. However, his work trip ended with a federal case.
In court documents, San Diego Police officials alleged they saw Boosie holding a firearm during an Instagram Live while shooting a music video in a backyard. Police used a helicopter to track down the vehicle in which he left, leading to his arrest.

By early January 2026, prosecutors in San Diego sought a two-year prison sentence in his federal gun case. However, days later, Boosie walked free, dodging federal prison time. During his sentencing, a San Diego judge ordered him to time served and three years of supervised release. The ruling put an end to his nearly 2-year-long federal gun case.
