I think this was the first episode that we saw the whole team working together, it didn’t feel like it was two different teams working together. I am really loving this show, all of the four main characters are very intriguing and we keep getting drip fed with new information.

I know it was literally for pretty much one small part of this episode but I liked having Gina in the field, she clearly wishes to be more involved in the action rather than behind the desk all the time. The joy in her face when Colin said he needed her in the field was so great.

This episode showed the difference between the types of cases that the CIA and FBI cover, although I think that Bill has become well adapted to the ups and downs of being a part of the CIA.

I am really glad that this episode ended on a happy note, especially as it seemed like the baby may not have survived when that draw was opened. Colin kicked into gear and clearly his parental instincts played a big part in making sure that the baby lived. I found it very interesting that Colin acted as though being an ‘expecting father’ is out of his wheelhouse, he is definitely nowhere near divulging to Bill about his family.

I think by this point it has been made very clear that Colin is always up for going undercover with an accent and I absolutely love it. It’s so funny that Bill always looks puzzled when he has to deal with Colin’s undercover antics. It also just shows the difference between how the CIA and FBI would deal with gaining information. Bill was very much by the book questioning and then Colin was pretending to be a social worker.

I believe this was the first time that we saw Bill talk about his family bar his Finacee. I loved the scene between Colin and Bill’s mother on the phone. Colin seems like the sort of person to be good with everyone’s parents.

The last scene of this episode was really nice, we got to see the team bonding outside of work for the first time, and there was true compassion and friendship being displayed.

This is a really great start to the first season of this show and I can’t wait to see what else unfolds for this new team!
