Scheana Shay revealed whether her husband, Brock Davies, contributes financially to their marriage on her podcast
As she also offered an update on her communication with Stassi Schroeder, 37, shared her hopes for her future friendship with Ariana Madix, 40, and revealed the regret she has with Katie Maloney, 40, Scheana addressed the possibility of appearing on a Vanderpump Rules rewatch podcast and explained how Brock, 33, provides for their family.
“I am currently more of the breadwinner,” Scheana, 40, confirmed on the March 13 episode of Scheananigans, via Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram.
That said, she noted that Brock does other things to contribute.
“Is he splitting the mortgage with me evenly right now? No. Six months from now, maybe. But things ebb and flow,” she revealed.
According to Scheana, her husband is an entrepreneur and has something in the works that will “bring in money.”
“And when it does, it’s gonna all be worth it. All of the hard work, all of the late nights, all of the decks that he’s made, it’s all gonna pay off,” she explained. “But right now, I don’t need him to go out and get a nine to five job to split the mortgage with me. I need him to be available to help take Summer to school, pick her up, [and] be there for her when I need to travel.”
Moving on to her status with Stassi, Scheana said the two of them recently exchanged texts, but only due to an apparent “hack of some sort.”
“I had missed a call from her, and I thought that was odd. And so instead of calling her back, I texted her … and I was like ‘Hey, I just had a missed call from you. Is everything okay?’ … She was like, ‘What? I didn’t call you.’ I screenshot it. I sent it to her,” Scheana revealed, noting that it was apparently a “fake” call, and adding that Stassi also had “missed calls from her number.”
“We had a good laugh about that, but that was pretty much it,” she shared.
Following a falling out years ago, Scheana said that she hoped she and Ariana could get back to a good place.
“I would hope that over time, our paths might go back towards each other in some way, but I also completely understand why she has boundaries and could be skeptical about fully letting me back into her life,” she stated. “We can text a little here and there, follow each other on social media, be happy for each other. And I can only hope that one day we are back being a bigger part of each other’s lives.”
Regarding Katie, Scheana said that the two of them had a rekindling storyline amid season 9 of Pump Rules that wasn’t shown because it “didn’t go with the narrative they were telling” and confirmed her regret.
“I was not as Team Katie as I should have been [amid her split from Tom Schwartz], and that is a regret of mine. It is one that I have apologized for,” she explained. “She is the definition of a ride or die loyal girls’ girl friend. And I wish I realized that more back then.”
Also on the episode, Scheana shared her thoughts on appearing on a Pump Rules rewatch podcast.
“I’ve actually been approached to do this, and I don’t think I would do it anytime soon,” she revealed. “I know right now where I’m at in my life, I am in a very mentally healthy and happy spot, that I don’t want to go back and watch old relationships.”
“If I were to ever do that, I would end it at season 11. I would not continue with a bunch of people I don’t know,” she added.
