Donald Trump is once again stirring conversation on social media, this time after reposting a “Saturday Night Live” sketch that portrayed British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in a less-than-flattering light.
In the clip, Starmer is depicted as indecisive and overly cautious, even panicking over a phone call from Trump.
Fans weighed in on the 47th president’s post, with many criticizing what they see as his abrasive approach to global diplomacy.
Trump’s new jab at the English Prime Minister is just the latest in a growing list of public tensions involving the New York business mogul-turned-politician in recent months.
Donald Trump Shares Skit Showing Keir Starmer Afraid Of Him In ‘SNL UK’ Premiere
The sketch shared by Trump on his Truth Social account was actually performed in the inaugural episode of “Saturday Night Live UK” on Sky One.
The clip begins with Prime Minister Starmer being informed that the U.S. president is calling.
The premier is advised by his deputy to “just be himself,” but when Starmer answers the phone and hears a voice impersonating Trump say “hello,” he quickly hangs up.
Leaning further into this odd dynamic, the character goes on to describe Trump as both “scary” and “wonderful.” He even jokes: “I can change him!”
Trump appeared to enjoy the sketch, reposting it on Truth Social without adding any caption.
Trump’s Post Labeled ‘Pathetic’ By Fans On Social Media

Many users online failed to see the funny side of Trump’s post, with some going as far as to describe it as “pathetic.”
“Utterly pathetic,” one Reddit user wrote, while another added: “Yet another pathetic stunt.”
Within the same thread, one commenter pointed to cultural differences in how satire is received, arguing that British audiences are more accustomed to seeing their leaders mocked.
“I don’t think he understands that over here we take the p-ss out of our politicians, especially the PM, [whether] we like them or not,” the comment read.
On X, reactions were similarly blunt, with one user dismissing the sketch entirely.
“I’m not a fan of Starmer, but this just isn’t funny,” the user wrote. “There’s literally nothing amusing about this. It’s comedy for idiots, maybe.”
‘Not Winston Churchill’: Trump Recently Took Another Swipe At Starmer
Trump’s relationship with Starmer may not be overtly adversarial, but it’s also far from frictionless.
The American leader has taken shots at his British counterpart on more than one occasion in recent months.
During a press conference alongside Germany’s chancellor at the White House, Trump appeared to downplay Starmer’s leadership credentials when compared to one of Britain’s most iconic figures.
“I’m not happy with the UK, either,” Trump said. “This is not Winston Churchill we’re dealing with.”
Churchill’s legacy is widely associated with decisive wartime leadership and a strong alignment with the United States.
Hollywood’s Rift With Donald Trump Continues To Deepen

While Trump shared a clip from “SNL” on social media, his long-running tensions with various Hollywood figures show no signs of easing.
In recent years, the former host of “The Apprentice” has clashed with several late-night personalities, including Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel even made fun of the president during the 2026 Academy Awards, joking about the lack of recognition for the first lady’s documentary, “Melania.”
“There’s an international community of filmmakers dedicated to telling the truth at great risk to make films that teach us,” Kimmel said.
“There are also documentaries where you walk around the White House trying on shoes,” he continued, before joking, “Oh, man. He is gonna be mad that his wife wasn’t nominated for this!”
Trump Defended By Dennis Quaid As Actor Calls Out Hollywood ‘Double Standard’

One Hollywood star who has remained firmly supportive of Trump is Dennis Quaid, who recently came to the president’s defense.
The actor faced backlash after spending time aboard Air Force One in February, an experience he later described as a “fantasy camp.”
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Quaid pushed back on the criticism, arguing that there is a double standard in how Trump is treated within the entertainment industry.
“Of course, there’s a double standard,” he said, per Page Six. “You’ve got common sense, and then you’ve got like some kind of whipped-up scenario.”
