“To us!” Or in this case, “To Scot!”
If you follow Scot Louie on social media, then you know he’s either going to give us a look, a catchphrase or some words of wisdom. On any good day? You’re getting all three.
This spring, he’s adding creative director to that rotation.
Louie, the celebrity stylist (for the likes of Ryan Destiny and Kehlani) and cultural tastemaker known for shaping how a generation thinks about personal style across fashion, beauty and digital culture, has partnered with SHEIN on a curated collection spanning seven trend directions.
His approach to the collaboration comes back to a belief he’s carried throughout his career: that style speaks before you do. “My SHEIN collection is rooted in that idea,” he said in a statement. “Spring is always a reset moment, and this is about giving people the tools to show up how they want to be seen.”
The edit reflects that. Where a lot of spring collections ask you to land on one aesthetic and stay in that lane, this one is built around the reality that most of us don’t work that way. Every day is going to get a different version of you, honey. The seven categories, which include Mermaidcore, Quiet Luxe, Elevated Athleisure, Boho Chic, Y3K, Preppy Rebel and Poetcore, aren’t meant to limit the vibe you’re going for on any given day. They’re closer to a wardrobe conversation, where you get to show up differently depending on the day.
The quieter pieces, the tailored neutrals in the Quiet Luxe section and the sleek sets in Elevated Athleisure, are made for the weeks when you want your clothes to do less work and your presence to do more. The louder ones, Y3K’s metallics, Preppy Rebel’s off-kilter proportions, are for when you want to walk into a room and make a statement before you sit down. Boho Chic and Poetcore sit somewhere in between, both leaning into texture and softness in ways that feel considered rather than costume-y.
That balance is probably where Louie’s fingerprints are most visible. His reputation is built on understanding how people actually live in their clothes, and that comes through in every category of this edit.
Extending the collaboration beyond the collection itself, Louie is hosting a virtual styling series on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube where he walks through the thinking behind each trend and how to build a full look from it. If you’ve ever needed help translating a trend into an actual outfit, that’s where the series comes in.
The collection is live now on SHEIN if you want to scroll it for yourself (search LOUIE20 to shop the full edit). And if you end up building a look, don’t be surprised if Scot reposts it.
