Chris Tucker is living his best life but with a closed-door policy until he finds a wife! According to TMZ, the actor and comedian surprised fans during his recent stand-up comedy residency in Las Vegas by opening up about a major lifestyle change.
Performing a sold-out weekend set at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, the 54-year-old Rush Hour star revealed that he has been entirely celibate for the past three years as he shifts his focus toward finding a serious, long-term relationship.
Despite strict no-phone policies at the venue requiring attendees to secure their devices in Yondr pouches, details of Tucker’s set quickly surfaced. “Well, I’m celibate. I’ve been celibate for three years, but I’m really trying to get married. I give it to the love this time,” Tucker told the audience, TMZ reports. “I’m serious. No one believes me.”

Tucker reportedly went on to joke that even his niece doubted his discipline, telling the crowd, “She believes in aliens, but she don’t believe I did that.” He also recounted dates where women misunderstood his intentions, recalling a humorous encounter with a woman who asked, “How much? How much, how much is it?” to which he responded, “I’m not selling it. I’m celibate! What is wrong with you people?”
The actor admitted that maintaining celibacy for three years has its challenging moments, joking that he occasionally resorts to speaking with AI virtual assistants out of loneliness.
