Sofia Richie is a mommy! This Friday the model revealed that she has given birth to her daughter in a heartwarming post.
Sofia took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her followers, posting a sweet photo of her playing with the baby’s tiny bare feet. She also revealed the name of her and husband Elliot Grainge’s sweet baby girl. “Eloise Samantha Grainge, 5•20•24, best day of my life,” Sofia wrote in the caption, expressing her joy for the precious moment. Of course, the exciting news of the baby’s arrival brought an outpouring of love and well-wishes from her adoring fans and fellow celebrity friends. They flooded the comments section with congratulations for Sofia and Elliot on the arrival of their little bundle of joy.
One person said, “Thank you for naming your beautiful baby girl a normal name!” Another added, “Imagine Lionel Richie being your grandpa!!! I’m crying! CONGRATULATIONS.” A third said, “A Taurus-Gemini cusp baby born during the most magical week. Congratulations!! Her name is so so precious.”
Sofia, who is the daughter of music icon Lionel Richie and Diane Alexander, first announced her pregnancy in late January. She later shared the exciting news that she was expecting a baby girl to her followers with a gender reveal video on TikTok. She said at the time, “I’m so excited!” as she screamed in her backyard during their intimate event. “Sorry to all my neighbors for the horrifying scream,” she joked in the caption.

While speaking in Vogue earlier this year, Sofia talked a little about her pregnancy. She said “I’ve learned more in the past six months than I have in my entire life,” Sofia said in the interview. “And also just like what the female body is capable of. Every week brings new things, whether it’s hormonal shifts or expansion—there’s just so much our bodies go through, and it’s so interesting to experience it all.” She also said, “She’s growing pretty fast, so [the due date] is a bit up in the air,” she added at the time.
This is amazing news for the couple who had a joyous milestone a little less than a year ago. Sofia and Elliot, 30, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Antibes, France, in April 2023, with many fans hinting at them starting a family soon after… and the day has finally come.
