A new Diddy investigation, launched by Rolling Stone, reveals more than 50 former friends and associates have called out the rap mogul, alleging abuse of his college girlfriend, being jealous of The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur’s relationship, and much more.

After singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed her $30 million lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs last November 2023 — alleging abuse, rape, and sex trafficking — several more women came forward along with a male producer alleging sexual assault and more.
Months after Cassie’s lawsuit, which was settled one day after filing, CNN released footage of Diddy assaulting the singer inside a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. Days later, the rap mogul shared an apology, taking “full accountability” for his actions exposed to the world. After this, Diddy was hit with two more lawsuits from women alleging sexual assault and more.
Now, Rolling Stone has shared their findings after launching an explosive 6-month investigation into Diddy. Out of 300-plus people contacted, they report more than 50 former friends and associates came forward to share their experiences — many off the record out of fear of retaliation. Joi Dickerson-Neal, one woman who filed a sexual assault lawsuit against him, spoke with the publication, along with others who have openly filed lawsuits against the mogul.

Several unnamed women claimed they would keep “far away as possible” from Diddy after being “caressed” or after witnessing him “fly off the handle” if he didn’t get his way. Another unnamed person, a former Howard University college student, claimed Diddy would repeatedly pull his college girlfriend out of class, and whenever he came around she would tense up. The classmate also alleged that Diddy — who’s previously admitted to “having a temper since a kid” — would “scream at the top of his lungs” at his girlfriend and “whup her butt.”
Dorm-mates would reportedly yell in the halls, “Puff is out here acting crazy. He’s beating her,” signaling everyone to try and help the young woman. One witness alleged Diddy used what appeared to be a belt to strike his girlfriend “all over the place,” adding that she “would try to defend herself a little bit.”
Kirk Burrowes, Bad Boy’s co-founding partner and president, also spoke out. Burrowes was fired in 1997 and sued Diddy In 2003 for allegedly threatening him with a baseball bat and coercing him into signing over his stake in the company. His claims were eventually dismissed due to the statute of limitation. Before his departure, Burrowes claims he once saw Diddy attack a woman inside the Bad Boy’s office in 1994.

Another employee, Felicia Newsome, the first manager of Bad Boy’s recording studio, Daddy’s House, told Rolling Stone that she once held Diddy back when he was about to “beat this girl’s a**” after a fight broke out between two women.
In addition to allegations of abuse and sexual assault, other former associates claimed Diddy was jealous of the relationship between his artist Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace and Tupac Shakur. ’90s Hip-Hop photographer Monique Bunn, who was close with Biggie and other Bad Boy artists, claims when Diddy tried to befriend Tupac Shakur, the rapper wasn’t having it. Bunn says, “Pac didn’t have any kind of respect for Puff. He was a corny executive.” When Pac and Biggie got close, Bunn said, “There was someone on the sidelines, jealous.”
In September 2023, decades after Pac’s murder, Compton Crips gang member Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis was charged in his then-unsolved murder case. Keefe D alleged Diddy offered him $1 million for a hit on Tupac Shakur, which the mogul vehemently denies. Six months after Pac’s death, B.I.G. was murdered, with police deeming the homicide an unsolved act of retaliation.
Meanwhile, several reports alleged The Notorious B.I.G. was preparing to leave Bad Boy and that he and his attorneys were fighting Diddy in an attempt to gain his publishing rights. According to The Big Payback, Diddy told B.I.G.’s lawyers, “I will never give it up until I’m dead and my bones are crushed into powder.” Bunn added, “I know for a fact [because] he told me that.” Another source added, “Everybody wanted to leave Puffy. Everybody leaves him.”
