The hush-money case involving Donald Trump has now been handed over to the jurors who are currently in deliberation. After the hearing, the ex-president addressed reporters and shared his thoughts on the ongoing proceedings.
Trump took the time to criticize Judge Juan Merchan, describing him as conflicted and corrupt. “Mother Teresa could not beat these charges,” Trump said, “These charges are rigged. The whole thing is rigged.” Trump referred to the trial as a “very disgraceful situation” and expressed frustration that he has been unable to campaign during the proceedings. He also mentioned that the gag order issued by Judge Merchan has prohibited him from discussing the whole situation. “But it’ll be talked about in the history books,” Trump added.

If you remember, Donald Trump is currently on trial for allegedly falsifying business records to disguise a hush money payment to a porn star.
As we previously reported, Former President Donald Trump was indicted in New York City in April of last year on criminal charges arising from alleged hush money paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to avoid a scandal ahead of the 2016 U.S. election.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, had arranged a payment of $130,000 to Daniels in exchange for her signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that prevented her from discussing the alleged affair publicly.
Daniels later filed a lawsuit seeking to invalidate the NDA, claiming that it was invalid because Trump himself had never signed it. The lawsuit also alleged that Cohen had defamed her by insinuating that she had lied about the affair.
