Netflix will release its upcoming Korean series Hierarchy on Friday, June 7, 2024. The streaming platform features several teen K-dramas like Hierarchy that focus on the power that the teen rich and the elite hold. The power struggles amongst chaebols and the terrifying consequences of the same add to a good storyline that keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats. In other cases, love stories among the elite and the scandals surrounding them also keep fans intrigued.

The upcoming Netflix K-drama Hierarchy focuses on a group of elite high school students who hold power and control over others. Other K-dramas that feature conglomerate power struggles include Boys Over Flowers, The Heirs, Tempest, and more.

Hierarchy

Hierarchy is an upcoming K-drama that will premiere on Friday, June 7, 2024, streaming exclusively on Netflix. The series follows a group of elite students from Jooshin High School, who control the hierarchy and power structure. This includes chaebol heiress Jeong Jae-Yi (Roh Jeong-Eui) and Jooshin Group successor Kim Ri-An (Kim Jae-Won).

However, these students also hold secrets and dark truths. A transfer student Kang-Ha (Lee Chae-Min) enters the school with a mission to reveal those secrets.

Boys Over Flowers

Boys Over Flowers is a fan-favorite classic K-drama that follows the journey of school student Geum Jan-Di (Koo Hye-Sun), who receives a scholarship and enters a new school as a transfer student. She becomes a target of the elite F4 boys, including Goo Jun-Pyo (Lee Min-Ho), Yoon Ji-Hu (Kim Hyun-Joong), So Yi-Jung (Kim Bum), and Sang Woo-Bin (Kim Joon).

Although she gets frustrated with their actions initially, she later begins to understand them and falls in love with Jun-Pyo. The drama premiered on January 5, 2009, and is available on Netflix.

The Heirs

The Heirs (The Inheritors) is another popular drama that premiered on October 9, 2013. It follows a group of students who belong to conglomerate families, preparing them to be the successors of their family businesses. Kim Tan (Lee Min-Ho), the heir of Empire Group, falls in love with their family housekeeper’s daughter Cha Eun-Sang (Park Shin-Hye).

Despite being betrothed to chaebol heiress Rachel Ryu (Kim Ji-Won), Kim Tan follows his heart. He and Eun-Sang navigate a multitude of challenges, including their own feelings, to fall in love with each other. The K-drama is available to stream on Netflix.

Tempted

Tempted follows the story of a conglomerate heir, Kwon Shi-Hyun (Woo Do-Hwan), who bets his elite and wealthy friends that he will successfully make Eun Tae-Hee (Joy) fall in love with him. Tae-Hee does not believe in love and undermines people who fall in love.

However, as she spends more time with Shi-Hyun, her perspective changes. Meanwhile, Shi-Hyun struggles between his feelings for her and his deeply buried secret. The drama premiered on March 12, 2018, and is available to stream on Netflix.

SKY Castle

SKY Castle is a popular K-drama about four housewives and their families who live in SKY Castle, a luxurious private neighborhood for the wealthy and elite. The mothers do everything in their power to ensure their teenage children get the best marks and are admitted to a reputed university. However, their lives change after Lee Soo-Im’s entry, when she helps anxious and stressed teenage students and challenges education norms.

The series features prominent stars such as Yeom Jung-Ah, Lee Tae-Ran, Yoon Se-Ah, Oh Na-Ra, Kim Seo-Hyeong, Kim Byung-Chul, Kim Hye-Yoon, and Lee Ji-Won. The drama premiered on November 23, 2018, and is available to stream on Netflix.

Fans will be able to stream the forthcoming K-drama Hierarchy on Friday, June 7, 2024, on Netflix.
