Hijack Season 2 has added Toby Jones and two others to the Apple TV+ thriller series.

Jones (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), Lisa Vicari (Dark), and Christiane Paul (FBI: International) will join Idris Elba in the Hijack Season 2 cast.

Earlier this year, Jones starred in the ITV series Mr Bates vs the Post Office. Jones is set to appear in Doug Liman’s The Instigators, starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. Vicari is best known for starring in Netflix’s sci-fi thriller series Dark. Vicari recently starred in the series Django alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Nicholas Pinnock, and Noomi Rapace. Paul won an International Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in Unterm Radar. This year, Paul can seen in Concordia, Frank Doelger’s AI surveillance series.

What to Expect in Hijack Season 2?

Plot details for Hijack Season 2 are under wraps. However, filming is underway in the United Kingdom.

Hijack Season 2 is executive produced by series creators George Kay and Jim Field Smith. Additional executive producers include Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, and Tom Nash.

Hijack Season 1 starred Elba as Sam Nelson, a corporate business negotiator on a hijacked seven-hour flight from Dubai to London. Because of his experience brokering deals, Sam works to find a peaceful solution with the hijackers. Neil Maskell, Eve Myles, Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Archie Panjabi, Ben Miles, and Kate Phillips also starred.

Kay and Smith co-created Hijack, with Smith serving as the lead director.

The seven-episode first season premiered on Apple TV+ in June 2023. The series was met with critical acclaim upon its release. In January 2024, Apple renewed Hijack for a second season, with Elba reprising his role as Sam Nelson.
