Andy Cohen Addresses RHONJ Recasting Rumors, and Lawsuits

Andy Cohen reacted to the latest slew of Real Housewives of New Jersey casting rumors on Wednesday while attending an event honoring Watch What Happens Live.

After it was suggested that just Teresa Giudice, 52, Dolores Catania, 53, Rachel Fuda, 33, and Jennifer Fessler, 53, would be back for season 15, Andy, 56, shared where he and his team are in the casting process while also dishing on the upcoming seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, reacting to claims of Vanderpump Rules season 11 being “forced,” and admitting he’s hoping for an Emmy nomination for WWHL.

“Hopefully Emmy voters will vote for us, and if they don’t, hopefully y’all will just keep watching us,” Andy told Extra on the red carpet of the 2024 Tribeca Festival, where he was celebrating 15 years of WWHL.

Looking back at his many years hosting the Bravo late-night show, Andy revealed his favorite moment.

“I think it was when Oprah was there. It was a very big deal for me personally and professionally, and I just, it meant a lot to me,” he admitted.

Moving on to RHONJ, whose reunion was recently canceled, Andy said the finale would likely suffice for viewers.

“When you see the finale, you’ll see. I mean, I think the finale, kind of, is a finale and a reunion all in one,” he described.

As for casting, he continued, “No decisions have been made. We’re nowhere close to making any decisions. Don’t believe anything you read right now. The rest of the season is great. I’m excited for everyone to see it.”

Andy then said that when it comes to potential hope for estranged sisters-in-law Teresa and Melissa Gorga, 45, there is “none at all.”

Andy also spoke of the return of Porsha Williams, 42, to RHOA, saying, “We’re in production now … You just gotta wait and see,” and the continued separation drama of Kyle Richards, 55, Mauricio Umansky, 53, on RHOBH.

“We’re in production right now, so there’s not much more I can say,” he teased.

Regarding Pump Rules season 11 and claims of it being “forced,” Andy replied, “I don’t think there’s any great mystery about taking a beat and re-evaluating and letting people go live their lives.”

“I thought it was a great season. We rushed into production because a lot was going on, but I thought it was quite captivating,” he added.

Then after sharing that he’d be driving back from the beach with his two kids on Father’s Day and celebrating the event once he’s back in town, Andy reacted to a question from an audience member at Wednesday’s event.

“It feels like folks on the show are getting increasingly litigious, how do you mitigate that risk while keeping it interesting on the show?” the person asked, seemingly giving a nod to litigation by Real Housewives of New York City alum Leah McSweeney, 41, who accused Andy and Bravo of encouraging her to relapse, and former RHOBH star Brandi Glanville, 51, who accused Andy of sexual harassment.

“We keep doing exactly what we’re doing, because the truth is the truth, and we are proud of how we conduct ourselves and how we produce these shows, and that’s it. We just keep going,” he replied, according to a report shared by Deadline.
