Jennifer Lopez Allegedly Making Summer Plans Amid Split Rumors

The singer and actress is said to be making plans for the summer, including spending time with her children and loved ones.

This revelation comes after Jennifer Lopez canceled her “This Is Me… Live” tour, which was initially scheduled to run from June to August.

According to People Magazine, Lopez has started making plans on how to spend the summer despite her much-talked-about marital troubles.

The “Atlas” star has been married to fellow actor Ben Affleck since July 2022, but the duo now seem to be headed toward divorce due to differences, the likes of which are still being speculated about.

The couple is reported to be living apart already, hinting that Lopez might be making solo plans for her summer.

If this is so, it only further illuminates the fact that Lopez and Affleck’s relationship is quite strained, as the “Marry Me” star had spent previous summer vacations visiting places like France and Italy with the “Gone Girl” actor.

Still, it is understood that part of the plans is for her to spend time with “her children, family, and close friends,” as stated in a statement from Live Nation about the singer canceling her fifth concert tour, “This Is Me… Live.”

The Hollywood power couple has also put their $60 million marital mansion up for sale, with TMZ reporting that a divorce is “imminent.”

Lopez’s cancellation of her planned concert tour was announced on the last day of May via a statement from Live Nation.

The singer also apologized to her fans in a newsletter, OntheJLo, and explained that the cancelation could not have been avoided.

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” the 54-year-old penned to her fans, per People.

She added, “I promise I will make it up to you, and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”

The tour was initially scheduled to run from June to August, with the singer expected to perform shows in multiple cities across the U.S., including Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, Nashville, and New Orleans.

It is unclear how soon Lopez plans to reschedule her tour or if it will be postponed for the foreseeable future. However, fans who already paid for tickets to the tour are expected to be refunded in full automatically if the purchase was made via Ticketmaster.

Days after her tour was canceled, Lopez shared a cryptic message in a newsletter on her OntheJLo website. The piece seemed to be directed at her critics, although the “Hustlers” star didn’t name any names.

In the newsletter, she wrote, “It may seem like there’s a lot of negativity out in the world right now. But don’t let the voices of a few drown out that there is soooo much love out there.”

The singer then ended the write-up with a message of gratitude to her followers and declared that she had much love for them.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you all so much,” Lopez added, per the Daily Mail.

In the meantime, Lopez and Affleck have yet to address rumors of their relationship being on the verge of a divorce.

However, that has not stopped sources from speculating about the possible reasons why the duo might be ending their marriage.

According to TMZ, some experts have claimed that Lopez is a “love addict” with a need to “have a man in her life constantly.”

They believe the actress never took enough “alone time” between relationships. Without taking time to reflect, it was unlikely she ever figured out what went wrong in her past relationships, making it seemingly impossible for her next relationship to “work and endure.”

A film source told People that despite Affleck’s involvement in “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” he’s never been entirely comfortable with publicly showcasing his relationship. The insider noted that the “Deep Water” actor respects Lopez’s artistic identity and doesn’t want to hinder her.

“He’s always been impressed about how she works so hard and has achieved so much success,” the source shared. “But the openness and promotion is not his way.”

The insider also added that the “Hustlers” actress sometimes gets frustrated with Affleck’s lack of structure and discipline, which “causes frustration.”

“I don’t know if they will split or if this is something they will work through,” the source said.

“There have always been clashes in their styles and how they handle issues, but nothing has stopped their love over the years,” a music source shared with the news outlet.
